I sure hope the latest round of Wilson drama is just Seattle angst and nothing real. Everyone good leaves eventually. Which means we all expect him to go somewhere else like LA.

It's tricky, though. TJ only played in 15 games this season. And unlike Strahan, he didn't get a total freebie from a buddy at QB.

Understood, but if a record is set during a 16 game season, that should be the standard to tie or break it.
Same with the records when the NFL jumped to 16 games from 14 in 1978.
I like TJ Watt, and think he is an amazing pass rusher, but I don't think he tied an NFL record today.

I have a healthy respect for NFL history; I read old football books as a kid. But using this standard would result in three sets of records. And the NFL played 12-game seasons from 1947 through 1960, so we'd really have to have four sets of records. That's just not realistic. Sure, they could store all those digitally, but no one is going to remember them all.

We'll most likely trade preseason games for regular season to make it 18 games. Do we just count the first 16 games in all of the records from here on out? That would be ridiculous.
