Tanny and flawed play calling were their doom.

The Titans offensive play calling was too cute. Going for 2? Why? Going for it on 4th down instead of letting Bullock have a go? Why? Why play scared, they were the bullies on the field.

Tanny, I think was so used to having to throw crap against the wall and seeing what stuck that he didn't trust his play makers enough to throw a ball away and try again. He wanted 20 on every throw.

Oh well, the life of a Titans fan :)

Next years wish list;

Draft or trade for offensive linemen
Draft or trade for a tight end.
Bring in a worthy play caller. Dan Mullen or Pep Hamilton would suit me fine.

Yeah I didn’t understand the 2 point attempt. What was the rationale there?

They didn't trust their DB's

Burrow - Chase, Higgins and Boyd had them play calling scared. :)

The Bengals only got FG's. But that was enough. I hate the result but, I love that the Bengals are moving on. Hopefully they carry that fear into the Championship game for whoever it will be.

Undrafted former Penn Stater Robbie Gould sends the 49ers to the NFCCG. That was fun to see a sunny California team go to the frozen tundra in snowy Green Bay and get the win.
As for the Titans, Tannehill isn't the QB to get them a Super Bowl. I hope they have a plan B while Henry is still good. He's on the backside of his career already though.
Oh, and sorry @Funky Ghost but it looks like Matt Canada may have been calling your plays there at the end. That third and one Tannehill run before they stuffed Henry on fourth were definitely from the mind of an overwhelmed and outcoached Matt Canada.

My other question was Seasons where top qualifiers both knocked out in First round.

I’m hoping for the Chiefs tomorrow on the grounds that maybe they are a better chance for the Bengals

Big maybe though

6 of one, half dozen of the other :) If the Bengals can take either of them out they'll be certified giant killers. This years play-offs on the AFC side was a murders row.

As an aside, I wonder what Aaron's segment on the McAfee show will be like . . . :D

The late game reminded me of the Patriots’ “Wind bowl” win earlier this season where they threw the ball almost not at all and still won. Jimmy G completed only what, 10-11 passes? And yet they won with defense.

The Pack special teams obviously crapped the bed last night, giving away 10 points in a game where only 23 were scored by both teams combined. But I don’t mind defensive games at all at this point in the season.

Also, Debo Samuel is a beast. Glad I’m not a DB who has to bring him down in the open field. Yikes!

Last time the Bills and Bengals met in the post-season, Ronny Harmon dropped the game winner in the end zone to give the game to the Bengals. Last time the Bills hosted the AFC championship game was 1994 vs the Chiefs with Joe Montana as their QB. (I was there!) Hoping for some good post-season karma for my Bills. They're peaking at the right time and have a healthy lineup.

GO BILLS!!!

My sister lived in Buffalo for quite a few years and was a huge fan all through the Jim Kelley era. She still tries to fly or drive back there once a year for a game. I'd love it if she scored a ticket for next week's game (assuming that happens), which wouldn't surprise me at all.

I'm alright with the Bill's. I especially have mad respect for the Bill's Mafia. Classy and kind in a fanatical kinda way :)

C'mon bro :) It Trent Dilfer can QB a super bowl winning team, just about any QB can. ;)

Having said that, Tannehill was absolutely reason 1a that the Titans will be spectators. He doesn't have to win the games, just don't lose them! Hard lesson. Hope he learned it.
