Quite true. But not only that. The Steelers always seem to lose against teams they're "supposed" to beat, and play tougher against the "better" teams. (Although they often end up losing to them as well...)

The Seahawks have what's touted as the seventh or eighth easiest schedule. They also play a whole lot of teams with quarterbacks that were drafted in the first round this year. I'm not sure what kind of advantage that is these days.
Gotta give the Bears an A. It was the easiest A ever, considering they had the first and ninth picks, and had already traded draft picks for Montez Sweat and Keenan Allen. However, that’s exactly where recent GMs would have made some bizarre picks because they think they’re smarter than everyone else.
Justin Jefferson becomes the highest paid non-QB in the NFL. There's another guy that won't be good anymore.
But seriously, what has that guy won on the field? I know, nothing. He played in, and lost, one playoff game.

Things were going quite well for the Steelers this offseason, then this happened: Sutton to Steelers, not worried about 'narrative'.

He had something close to 1,800 yards in 2022. He’s legit. But that is insane. He isn’t the best player in the sport. That contract is out of control.
That's what happens when your QB is Kirk Cousins. Big numbers in the regular season, mediocrity in the playoffs. He's the best WR in the NFL now, and great wideouts are more valuable than ever in today's game. The problem is, Jefferson now has to rely on JJ McCarthy to get him the ball--or the hapless Sam Darnold.
Of course he isn't worried about the narrative. It doesn't matter what you do with the NFL, if you are a half-way decent player, you will have a job. Maybe Rog will slap him with a deserved eight game suspension, but I'm not holding my breath.
He really blew it for me by making excuses for it and then talking about his morals. As he said 'everybody goes through adversity'. Yes Cam, we sure do, but you never, ever, ever, ever strike a woman. Let alone this according to court documents...
During the argument, Sutton picked up the woman and slammed her into a wall, then bit her on the neck, leaving a quarter-sized abrasion that bled, the affidavit states. Sutton then grabbed the woman by the face and neck and choked her, causing her to briefly lose consciousness.
This is the mother of his three children. It's pissing me off just typing this up. I shoulda never looked.
Then again, why am I surprised? This is one of Tomlin's boys. They'll be buddy up on the sidelines laughing and joking as Tomlin strives yet again not to be under 500.

That's the thing. I actually think they can play quite well this year and will have no problem getting to 9-8 for Tomlin.

So, this means you are a Browns fan now?
It means I don't care about the NFL anymore. I was hanging on due to some misplaced loyalty as well as wanting to honor one of my uncles. That uncle died last year, so that went out the window, and the events from the last week were the final nails in my coffin of NFL fandom.
