I have a $390 Sunday Ticket subscription and a Prime Video subscription so I can watch my team and I still have to allegedly use alternate means to see 2-3 games a year.

As a fan I’m not expecting anything in settlement. But there’s as close to a slam dunk that the league stretched antitrust laws or more. They may appeal but they will ultimately lose. What that means for me I have no idea.
I'd really like to see this result in a new paradigm where you can watch any individual game PPV through any of the major streaming services.
And nothing will be decided for a long time. The whole case being around whether NFL Sunday Ticket crosses the line of the NFL's anti-trust exemption sounds to me like something that could be argued for a loooong time.

Nobody puts starters out for HOF game. If he puts Williams out there then he needs to protect him . . . so he's gotta put 1st string O-line out there. Then one or more of *them* get hurt and POOF . . . for what? No team wants to play in HOF but they can't opt out so they use it as an exhibition for all the bubble guys to show why they should make this team or maybe some other team. I only watched to see the new kickoff rule and switched back over to Cubs game in 1st quarter.
Speaking of new kickoff rule . . . with the recent passing of Bob Newhart (RIP) I was thinking of how Bob might do a reworked version of his Abner Doubleday "Baseball" phone call routine but with Goodell on the phone pitching football.
"So the one team kicks the ball to the other team and they . . . . wait, everyone stands still? *Except* for the kicker and 2 guys on the other team? OK, then what? If it lands directly in the end zone it's a 'touchback' and the receiving team starts with the ball on their own 30 yard line. OK. Wait, *unless* the ball first lands in FRONT of the end zone but not more than 20 yards before it goes into the end zone? Then what? It comes out to the 20. OK, I guess that seems . . . wait, if it goes out of bounds OR first lands MORE than 20 yards in front of the end zone it comes out to the 40? You know, Mr. Goodell, this seems kind of complicated . . . I mean, why can't the other team just catch the ball and run it? They can, OK . . . and how many points does that count for. No points, it's just the first play of the game. Well, thank you for calling, Mr. Goodell but I think we are going to have to take a pass on this football game of yours, I just don't think the average American is going to be able to understand it. What's that, there's a whole bunch more rules just on passing? Again, thanks but no thanks and you have a good day."
It would be simpler to just say when one team scores, the other team puts the ball on their 25 and plays football. It's going to come to that eventually anyway.

But the kickoff can be one of the most exciting plays in a game so they have to balance player safety with the entertainment value of the game.
Just ash-can the majority of the kicking game, it's been neutered so much. I totally agree with changes that help with player safety and the old, old way of kickoffs was definitely dangerous for pretty much anyone on the field. At this stage I have to wonder what is the value of the kickoff at all, or even place kicking in general? If they won't adopt a fixed starting point and insist upon some form of play to establish the initial line of scrimmage move to the drop-kick. Not a whole lot of people are going to be able to bury a drop-kick into the end zone on the fly. While they are at it eliminate place kicking altogether and require extra point and field goal tries to be dropkicks as well. Other than their families who buys tickets to see kickers?
I'll have to see how the new rules play out. As it is, you don't see very many KO returns.
With the new rules, especially that the players are held to line while the ball is in the air, should be a lot more returns.
Not really relevant to the new rules, but I was watching a documentary about Terry Bradshaw a while back. Whether or not you were a Bradshaw or Steelers fan, you really have to respect a guy who won 4 Super Bowls in those days before the QB was so protected. The number of brutal hits he took after releasing his passes that were never penalized speaks volumes. The man was tough...
Even more interesting was his assertion that he was the second best QB on his college team. The first? The Duck Dynasty guy. My mind was blown.

After being one of seven members from Michigan accused of violating rules in a draft of the NCAA's notice of allegations obtained by ESPN on Monday, Los Angeles coach Jim Harbaugh denied any wrongdoing, adding that "it's back to work" with the Chargers.
