NFL 2024-2025

Well in fairness, it WAS a dive...
I dunno. One thing I would never doubt is Farve's toughness. I remember seeing a game against the Bears where you could see his teeth flapping around because he had been hit in the mouth. The game was in miserably, muddy, snowy conditions, and Farve played well. Yeah, he's got plenty of baggage and he's a bozo. I'm not a Farve fan at all. But, he wasn't going to escape that sack anyway and he knew it. What he did wasn't much different from a slide at the end of a run by a QB.

Good point, but throughout his career, he would have normally ducked, dodged, or somehow TRIED to evade the tackler. To me, that was not the "Favre-like" behavior I would have expected from him. BECAUSE of his toughness and competitiveness! ;)

Todays the DAY 😄

59 years? Wowsah, I had no idea.
Tomlin got his nine wins so this one will be mailed in, meaning fraught with questionable play calling, undisciplined play, mismanagement of the game clock, questionable challenges, and players not playing besides TJ, Cam, and Highsmith.

Mike Tomlin at his finest today.
It all started with him coming out on the field in sunglasses on a cloudy and cold day. What the thunder is that about? He wasn't there to coach or win a game and it 100% showed in his players outside Cam, TJ, and Highsmith.
Tomlin gave up with 11 minutes left in the fourth when he punted on the fourth and seven down by 14. When Tomlin gave up, so did I and turned it off.
Some folks think this never a losing season for Tomlin is a big deal. It's crap. As long as Tomlin coaches that team they'll never win a game that matters.

The Bills/Lions game turned out to be good, though not as close as I'd expected. That said, the Bills have allowed 40+ points two weeks in a row and the Lions have now lost a million starters on defense. For all the talk about that game being a Super Bowl preview, I'm not sure either defense is good enough to get them there.
That opens the door to other contenders--of course the Chiefs, but also the Ravens, and in the NFC the Eagles. A buddy of mine suggested the Vikings as well. I'm not sold on Darnold, but I have to admit he's performing better than I expected. I'll be interested to see how he does vs. the Lions and Packers to close out the season.

Man, We literally have all 6 of our starting Front 7 on IR 2 of the top reserves on the front 7 out, our #1 CB and 2 of the top 3 backups on IR and Montgomery half of our RB tandem out. I can see them winning the next two games (Bears-Vikings) but I don't know how the defense holds up in the playoffs, even though they may get a couple of those guys back. I think the Bobby Layne curse on the Lions is still there. I would argue that by the 4th game of the season the Lions (back when Hutch was the defensive player of the year) were the best team by far in the NFC, I don't know how any GM or coach can deal with that much attrition though.

Not going to lie, I’m worried about my Falcons tonight. We have found ways to lose games like this. Kirk Cousins is not objectively better than Ridder today. Pierce is a better coach than Morris.
Please don’t commit Falconry on MNF.
I too am worried about your Falcons because my Raiders need a loss to stay in the Sanders lottery. Let's go Falcons let's go! (Clap clap clap.)
