NFL 2024-2025

Watched various parts and the entire last quarter of the Packers-Lions last night. I've been a Packers fan for decades but I just gotta love the Lions. They are long past due, and I cheered when they won!
I don’t see how they can make it all the way to the finish line, as banged up as they are, but I don’t know how they’ve made it this far either. If anyone deserves a championship it’s Detroit. I don’t mean just generally, though that is true. I mean this Detroit team. They’re tough as nails from the head coach down, and they make no excuses when they lose yet another supposedly indispensable player almost every week.

We'll find out what kind of team Tomlin has in the next three weeks. If they win two of those games, there's a legit chance they'll win a playoff game.
It's great to see Heyward finishing his career strong and that offensive line coming together. Wilson is playing better than I expected, but I'd sure love to see more of those moon balls.

The Seahawks are putting on an almost credible imitation of a decent team all of a sudden. The proof will come in the next few weeks, though. Mariners fan training makes me less that completely optimistic that they can get past the Vikings and Packers without getting dismantled. I don't see anybody challenging the Lions this season, and that seems like the way it should be.

The Seahawks are in a more-or-less Tomlin loop. They are never quite bad enough to do a complete teardown, never quite good enough to get out of their own way.

I'll go way out on a limb and predict they beat KC on Christmas day. The Chiefs have been beating bad teams by slim margins. They are due a loss and the Steelers will pull out a Christmas Miracle.

It's also possible the Chiefs have nothing to play for that day, so KC may grab some fans from the stands to fill in.

That's great! If the Chiefs have the #1 seed clinched, they could throw the game to get the Steelers in over the Ratbirds. That's not far-fetched.
Baltimore will play themselves right out of contention. They don't need any help. Pittsburgh will put them out of their misery and sweep the season series again in a couple weeks. As aggravated as I get with the Steelers (well mostly Tomlin), it's worse for a Ravens fan.

Watching the Cowboys lose just never gets old.
Wow, that was a suckfest tonight.
I turned the game on with six minutes left and watched Cincy give it away with the multiple penalties. Then Dallas decided they weren't going to be out sucked, and took it to the next level.
I remember playing football and it was always told....never, ever, never touch the ball in those situations when you are the receiving team. The special teams coach was even yelling to stay away. But nope, some kid couldn't resist the urge to get on ESPN and took a try. Yep, you're now on ESPN bro, for the wrong reason.
I understand why Parsons was so upset. That man plays 110%.

I watched the first half before going to bed. Burrow looked sharp, the receivers, especially Chase and Iosivac, looked great, and the D Line was getting good pressure.

But Cindy’s deal is that they can’t run, and can’t stop the run. I couldn’t tell much about their secondary by what I saw, since Cooper Rush isn’t exactly Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen. Dallas just looked out of sync. My Jerry Jones schadenfreude was in full bloom.

We live on in hopes that both offense and defense will show up for a given game…

Taylor Swift will be the starting tight end. Travis Kelse will be in the luxury box watching. She will turn in a hall of fame performance, and he will retire on the spot.

Mahomes takes a sack and he and Taylor break into a duo rendition of Shake it Off...

'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off (hoo-hoo-hoo)

Mahomes takes the sack by going to the ground so TJ Watt can set the single season sack record.
Immediately after the game, Mark Gastineau and Michael Strahan run on to the field to chastise Mahomes....you hurt me Patrick, you hurt me!

Haha, I caught that story about the confrontation, too. Favre is of course a jerk, but Gastineau ain't much better IMO.

I thought Favre handled himself well. He sure did look a little nervous. I was thinking Gastineau was going to pick him up and slam him to the ground after he said he was going to get his sack back.
Then that other guy came over and distracted the conversation so Favre could step away. Haha.
