With free agency underway and the draft next month (at Lambeau BTW!), probably time to restart the annual thread.

The Pack have been pretty quiet in free agency but did pick up an Olineman and a CB from the Raiders, both needs. People were all excited about a possible Davante Adams reunion or signing DK Metcalfe but I didn't think it would happen given the relative conservative stance the packers take and that Guty, as a Ted Thompson disciple, continues to draft and develop. There still may be a FA signing or 2 in areas of need like LB and maybe Dline, but I'm not counting on it.

As far as the draft in GB goes, to me it's way overhyped glitter, glamour BS. I won't attend, even though it's in my backyard, but I'm glad the NFL is holding it there since we'll never get a Superbowl. Even still, it has the possibility to be snowy and cold at Lambeau, even in late April. The tundra won't be totally thawed out by then I think, and I don't wish for bad weather. A freak 70s and sunny stretch, more and more the norm lately, would be nice for the draft and the venue.

Geno Smith said Monday that he and coach Pete Carroll have "unfinished business" with the Raiders.

That's a cute kinda feel good story, but I'm thinking at ages 34 and 73 respectively, and on a team that isn't that great to begin with, there isn't any business they'll be finishing in regard to the Super Bowl.

If Dak is healthy, I expect my Cowboys to win 11 or 12 games, and then exit the playoffs very quickly. Dak gonna Dak, and Cowboys going to be mediocre until Jerruh dies.

Watching the draft here. The Browns traded down from #2 to #5 to pick up another 2nd round pick this year and a 1st next year from the Jags. This is an uncharacteristically brilliant move from the Brownies.

Not a flashy pick, but a solid DT. Cam isn't gonna play forever and if this guy can replace him, it's a good 1st round pick. I'm just happy they didn't go for any of these overhyped QBs.
