Having a bye week means I get a bye week, too. Not that I watch most games anyway. I'll be swimming with the fishes in Puget Sound on Saturday and Sunday and paying no attention at all to the NFL or college football. It gets us one week closer to spring training in a completely painless way. Can't beat that.

I was watching some of Fox’s pregame show, well not watching so much as having it on in the background for a minute. They were talking about the Steelers having a priest bless the field with holy water. All I could think was it’s not working. Tomlin is still there.

I suspect this will be the last game for the Bears until next season. Green Bay has had the better team for most of the year, even if only marginally so at times. Normally that would bug me a lot more, because getting to the playoffs was a one off fluke most of the time. This year feels different; like they’re actually laying the foundation for something. My realistic hope was always that they’d get at least one game of playoff experience. It’s fitting it should be against Green Bay. If they can’t get a real win against Green Bay, they don’t deserve to keep playing.

Now now let's calm down. The real Steelers fans know good n well that it wasn't really holy water, it was actually Log Jammer water from Kennywood amusement park. We all have Pittsburgh Dad to thank for this breaking news as of yesterday. Also confirmed by Kennywood as well. (if you know, you know)🤣🙌
