Eh, sounds more like a coach who is concerned about his star player getting hurt by a team that was embarrassed by them and prevented from going to the Superbowl because he went absolutely ape**** on them.
Yup, but that's just Harbaugh in general. He's a good coach, but he's very irritating in the way he whines about everything but will simultaneously exploit every possible loophole (like he did with the timeouts last season). I guess that's just good coaching, but it's still obnoxious.
Meanwhile, I'm just crossing my fingers for an 8-8 season from the Browns.
Huge crybaby. Has no reservations about chop blocking every single game all day long. Kap is gonna get roughed up. That's the price to be paid for running the option. Deal with it.
I expect the Browns to finish ahead of the Steelers in the division, and that is coming from a person who has liked the Steelers for a very long time.

Like Eric, I hope for the best. Now, take my heart out of it, and I see a 6-10 Browns with some lucky bounces, and a stinker of a win over the Fins this week.

It sounds to me that he is pandering to the NFL trying to make it even harder on defenses when the rules are already overly favoring offensive players. If the QB decides to run the same rules should apply as to a running back. If he is outside the pocket all QB specific rules should be null and void.
I could see 6-10, but I have a hard time accepting that as the mean or, as you indicate, the result of some luck. I think this is like a 7.25-win team that could go 6-10 or 8-8 without too much difficulty. Unfortunately I'll be on the road come Sunday around 1 PM, so I'll try to get my fix tonight and with some radio and afternoon games on Sunday.
My question to everyone else is which team will take a big fall (2012 Saints/Lions) and which one will be a surprisingly good team (2012 Vikings/Colts/Redskins)? I don't have any clue who that would be this year, as usual.

Yea, I figure by the time the season's over they'll finish up 3-13 and lose their final regular season game by 35 points, after having everyone get injured in a freak motorcoach accident that renders everyone except for 8 players, including the kicker and punter, incapable of playing, so they'll have to play all 60 minutes on both sides of the ball.
That or Josh Freeman could pull his head out of his ass and play decently this year, our passing defense improves by an amount commensurate with the amount of money we spent upgrading it, Doug Martin doesn't pull a LeGarret Blount and continues to perform at a high level and we finish a respectable 11-5.
I waited months for a healthy dose of Manningface... I am disappoint.
