I don't know, I have a feeling that we could blow a few games this year. I'm not sold on the DC yet. His teams in AZ were top 10 against the pass, but 28th against the run.

Yup. Not to mention that because all but 2 (3) games are played on the same day, it's easy to break down the season in manageable increments.

In unrelated news, I have a guy in my BF3 clan who sat Manning in favor of Matt Ryan this week. We had to stop what we were doing for about 5 minutes because we were laughing so hard when we heard that.

Broncos > Ravens in a route, despite some pretty shaky, silly first-game mistakes (Welker drops a punt gift-wrapping 7 points for the Ravens, Trevathan's bone-headed move costing the Broncos 7 points, 4-5 false starts, etc., etc.).

And Manning, 7 TD passes? First time since 1969??? I hope they can keep that guy healthy.

Wow. It should be interesting when the Broncos actually find their rhythm.

I've been one since the mid-80s. I don't like to talk sports smack much unless it involves face to face consumption of frosty beverages though...;)


The Cougs looked good beating USC last night. They might be pretty decent this year. Call me a fan since I have Coug friends, but no Husky friends.

Lane Kitten = fired.

When I lived in the U District there were an awful lot of Coug supporters around, so I've always followed both with about equal interest -- casual fan, I guess. Down here the Ducks get most of the attention, since way before their recent ascendance to national prominence. I enjoy watching all the PNW teams, really.

I am. Welker is a stud, and we should have kept him. It was a stupid, stupid decision to not meet his asking price. Not only did we lose a powerful weapon, we let it go to another AFC team. Bad idea.

That was one of the worst games I've seen them play since the '60s and early '70s. No protection at all for Ben (who also wasn't sharp). No running game. The defense wasn't impressive. An all-around stinker. Pouncey hurt (torn ACL) in the first quarter. Here we go again...

Good last-second win for the Patriots over the Bills, 23-21. Brady looked good, but the Pats won essentially with only Amendola, Edelman, and Vereen contributing. Those rookie receivers will need to step it up as the season goes on, and boy, do we need the Gronk! Ridley ran hard, but he got a bad case of fumbleitis, and now he's in BB's doghouse. Buffalo was tough, but turnovers and too many penalties hurt them in the end. Good, entertaining game, on to the Jetz this Thursday night.
