Nah, Seattle at home = tough for ANY team. San Fran is gonna take one in the wedding vegetables.

What gets me is that Kitna, while not outstanding, did a decent job for us as a back-up. But please, let's not get the two teams mixed up. I'm sure we have much more collective jail time than Detroit. Well, maybe not with the youngsters, but give them time. (Oh, pun unintended but good non-the-less

Actually, it's kind of funny, that when I lived on the West Coast, I was much more serious of a fan of the Browns than I am now, living in Cleveland.
I have to read/see/hear the people in this city just getting BENT about the team/draft/front office/coaches/waterboys and I have to laugh. Yeah I like seeing them win, but if they don't, no big deal, ya know? My life doesn't change with their fortunes one whit.

You guys are horribly discounting the changes the new coaching staff has had on the team, plus the effects of one of our better drafts showed last night. I'd say with Manning hurt and Houston being a toss-up, it isn't hard to see us contend for the AFC South title. And with good blocking and consistent QB play from MH (QB play was our downfall last year, remember the 5-2 start?), it isn't hard to see us pushing double digit wins. With that said, I'm putting us between 7-9 and 10-6. Anything more or less than middle of the road would shock me.
As far as the Saints were concerned, they got thromped by mostly our second and third string guys, because our defensive starters were held out, CJ didn't play, and first team O played 2 possessions. Some really good signs were how much Klug is improving, how good the back-up secondary looked, and Ayers and McCarthy being beast last night at LB. The D has turned a corner and may be back into "elite" territory. Thank you, Mr. Gray.

I'm not buying Houston as the heir apparent.
Arian has exactly one year of quality starts, a wounded knee ( thanks for the MRI brah ) and is facing a season after 327 carries. He lost his lead blocker Vonta Leach who went to Baltimore. He also shows a decided lack of ability to handle public pressure. They are favored to win the South by most pundits, will his onion thin skin be able to handle it? The rookie is good, and could back him up well, but that's a could not a will. Shaub should have had his break out season last year. It was MIA. Kevin Walter was inconsistent as a WR2 making life hard on Andre. Owen was also inconsistent at TE.
Finally the schedule. The get a 5 week stretch where they are @Saints tough D, home vr Steelers tough D , Home @ Raiders ( who have a physical D, that is good too ), @ Baltimore tough D and @ Tenn. That has all the makings of a M.A.S.H. unit run.
Ending the season away against the Colts and Tenn at home, could very well be the title games.
I'm not saying they can't, especially in the AFC South right now which went from one of the toughest to one of the weakest conferences. I'm just saying it's going to take a very good effort and some players who can avoid what history has shown to be a trend. Namely RB's with high carry counts tend to slump for 2 years.
