NFL Week 11

Gard said:
Actually, it's because I have a non-TB LIFE on weekends (married, 4 kids). The only TB time I get is when I'm at work during the week, and I have a limited amount of that depending on how things are going 'round the shop (like, we're VERY busy the past couple weeks, and still are!). Seems that someone else was pretty silent on the smack talk a few months ago after his Turkeys got roasted under the 'Dome on MNF!

:spit:

I watched the Saints/Bengals, and the Saints played like crap.

Two interceptions IN THE END ZONE??? One for a defensive touchdown???

Hey, it's great the Brees had a record-setting game, but how about WINNING it too???

:scowl:

The defense did better against the run this week, but man, our secondary reeked.

All that said, we still are well off, and AHEAD of someone's Turkeys - and we'll stay there!

I figured the Panthers would bounce back, I was just hoping the Saints wouldn't fall flat.

That said, the Saints have a pretty favorable schedule the rest of the way, and should be playing in January - unlike the Falcons.

;)
So does your family life disapear when the Saints win? :p

Seems like Gard wont talk smack about his team when it loses unless someone else points it out.

Save the rest of your smack talk for January.

I actually think that would be A LOT of fun.

Going on a road trip with your favorite team is A LOT of fun. Just make sure you pick a couple buddies you can stand to be around 24 hours a day for a few days. We had so much fun going to Oakland this year, we are going to plan a couple more Steeler road trips next season.

The trip to Miami in January 2007 won't count as one of them. ;)

I sure hope you don't smoke crack in front of your kids.

I was waiting for a crack comment from you. I even told my wife that you would say something about me smoking crack. :D

That's cool though buddy. You talked crap about the Steelers last year, and we beat you guys. You talked crap about the Steelers in the playoffs, and they beat everyone in front of them....on the road for the big games.

So I'm thinking you should go ahead and keep talking crap about the Steelers. It worked wonders for us last year.

So how much money are Eric, Tim and you willing to fork over for my magic, lucky trash talk?
:D

Here's the deal, I'll talk smack on them for the rest of the season. If they win out and make it into the playoffs, you guys pitch in and pay to renew my Gold Supporting Membership.

we had a secondary? :hmm:

but Fred Thomas plays hard, he just does not match up to Chad Johnson and Palmer's pump fakes. Thank god TJ Houshmanzadeh was quiet and guarded by McKenzie, or it would have been fireworks scoring for the Bengals.

too bad we get all the desperate teams, Falcons will be one more of these....

Excuse me, but who are you to question my family life???

Where do you get off trashing me for having an actual life on the weekends???

Do you know that in addition to my wife, I have a cat, three dogs, and FOUR children - one of whom has cerebral palsy and is a quadrapalegic???? The kid can't even freakin' TALK....he gets my attention on the weekends, not people like you.

It's AMAZING when I find time to WATCH a football game on the weekends, the LAST thing I'm going to do is get on the computer and waste my limited free time on the weekends trying to make YOU feel important.

Man, losing Roman Harper, that really hurt our secondary. It totally exposes Thomas (MJ, I don't think that's the same guy that played in Seattle) for the weak cover guy he is. The Saints need to pick up someone to fill the gap there or we'll have issues.

I'm not worried about the Turkeys, they've showed their true colors the past couple weeks, at least the Saints are losing to teams that may not have killer records, but are decent teams. The Turkeys are losing to losers (Lions, Browns), the Saints will pancake them this coming Sunday.

Gard... relax. Think about what you said there. If I read your post correctly, you are taking what Jazzin' said way too personally.

This is all just some lighthearted NFL smack talk. Nothing serious. Did you happen to see the smiley at the end of his "question"? He was razzin' you.

Lighten up a little. If you can't, then maybe you shouldn't be posting in this thread.

The day Pack fans start wearing paper bags is the day I stop being a Packer fan. Luckily, that day will never arrive.

Hey buddy, you still live in Wisconsin ;) Some of us diaspora cheeseheads have to try to go out in public in enemy territory :D

You're right, though, I'll always wear my Packers shirt to the bar on Sundays, ridicule be damned :smug:

Sorry, I just get a little touchy when someone questions my family life and how it affects my activities outside the home.

....especially Falcons fans!

;)

:D

Sorry Jazzin, I'm maybe overly touchy about the topic...mea culpa.

At week 12;)

You have a time machine???? It's not Sunday YET!!!

:D

Kelly, you talk all you want, you're a Colts fan, and no one except the Bearssssss clowns can even stand toe-to-toe with you.

That said, it is interesting when they all show up and trash you after you finally go 9-1!

...I wouldn't worry if I were you, it's good that they got the loss over with, clears it off the list of things to distract them as the season finishes up, and they can just concentrate on PLAYING, not playing to keep from losing. I don't see anyone else in the AFC that can really threaten the Colts...the NFC is a wide open field still, IMO....
