Whoa now buddy.....whoa. We are talking about football that you and I have been watching. As Tim pointed out, I made a reference to SUPER BOWL WINS. Yeah, I know. You guys in Chicago don't know much about that. My mistake.

You want to call me the one smoking crack? I ask about Super Bowls and you go dig out football history from the early 20th century? History that only Bears and Lions fans care about. Well, and some Packer fans. :D

If the Bears had managed to be a good team in the time that you and I have been alive, you wouldn't need to go digging up history from 70+ years ago. :D

Hmmm, well, we still have 3 Super Bowl championships out of 4 appearances. While you go look for your Pottsville Maroons jersey, I'll just put on my Green Bay Packers jersey (pick any era).

They don't call Green Bay "Titletown" for nothing. and the last time I checked the Super Bowl trophy was called the Lombardi trophy and the NFC championship trophy was named after Halas.

For fans of all the cutesy new teams that have joined the NFL, every single one of you can thank the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions (yeah, I know, I know), Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, et al for the Super Bowl wins your teams have. Because without them, you'd all be watching the Arena League.

NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle wanted to call the game "The Big One". During the discussions to iron out the details, AFL founder and Kansas City Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt had jokingly referred to the proposed interleague championship as the "Super Bowl." Hunt thought of the name after seeing his daughter playing with a toy called a Super Ball. The ball is now on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The name was feasible because postseason college football games had long been known as "bowl games" (the term originates from the Rose Bowl Game, which was in turn named for the bowl-shaped stadium in which it is played).

I hope that Mike knows I'm just kidding. Otherwise, I'm sure he could crumple me like an empty beer can, violate me and my dog, and take my lunch money with very little effort.
