NFL Week 11

I'll go toe to toe with any Colts fan. We went into Indy, and beat those guys last year on our way to the SB.

Yeah, I know we only have four wins right now and the team has played like garbage. But we are the champs until SB XLI is over.

Yeah, the Cowboys have won FIVE Super Bowls too, and even been in the big game more than the Steelers. So, we do share something with the Cowboy fans.

Let me go check on Chicago Bear Super Bowl wins, and appearances. Hmm....this isn't a very long list of teams that have played in the SB, but I don't see the Bears anywhere near the top. Let me turn the page. Hmmm.....still looking. Oh wait....I see it. ONE appearance, and ONE win.

It's been one year for the Steelers, and 11 years since Dallas won the Super Bowl. Chicago? 21 years since they have fielded a team worthy of even thinking about going to the Super Bowl.

Fly high Mr. Jive and talk all the smack you can for the next six weeks, you won't feel like this again until you're in a nursing home with Kyle Orton and Curtis Enis.

I gotta get in here......Yes it's been a long time coming for the Bears to get where they are now, but I put the blame on previous regimes after Ditka and Vianissi left. The scouting and coaching were horrible especially that Wannstedt, he could mess up a wet dream, then he worked the same magic for Miami after JJ left him that team.
My point is that we have a Good staff in place and McCaskey is'nt calling the shots. I expect this franchise to be near or at the top of this league for a long time.
So there pu that in your blastfurnace and smoke it.:-)

You need a better history book. ;)

George Halas was one of the founders of Pro Football. Without him, we'd probably be doing chores on Sunday for our wives during the fall. God bless Halas:bassist:

Bears have had 9 NFL championships. Last I checked, 9 is more than 5. Bears were playing winning football long before the Superbowl. Steelers were never a winning franchise until the 70s. It took them over 40 years to win their first division title. Historically, that makes the Bears years of suckitude look like a drop in a bucket.

Bears also have the most players in the HOF with over 25.

Of course, we could then talk about the Packer's 11 NFL championships, 3 superbowl titles and still play their football games blocks from where Lambeau tussled with Halas in the infancy of professional football. And Jive, according to the HOF website, no two teams have put as many players in the HOF as Chicago (31) and GB (26). It's not even close.

Let's call it half a dozen of one.....

Bears fan or not, you are the man.

In all fairness to Mike, however, he was talking about Super Bowl wins. NFL championships are swell and all, but I think that in most people's minds there's a little more prestige associated with the Super Bowl. Whether that's fair or not is up for debate, but I'm sure I already know how the Bears and Packers fans feel. ;)

Now, let's see...where did I put my Pottsville Maroons jersey? :p

I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to offend you. I understand that you have a big family and I respect that. I was just going along with your smack.

I think it would actually be a nice thing if the Saints make the playoffs, they deserve it. They deserve to have a playoff win as well.

This is game is going to be a smashmouth affair IMHO.
And as I said for the Bears to win they'll need a score on the defensive side of the ball.....
