From watching Favre over the years, it seems you are right on. From getting his ankle damn near broke against the Vikings one week, and then playing with it heavily taped up, he ripped the Bears apart on Monday night football the next week a few years back.
Then there was the time he got a concussion against the Giants last year. He was out for one play, then came back in and threw a touchdown (that he didn't even remember throwing afterwards) before they took him out for good.
I had 50 yard line seats right behind the Packer's bench at a playoff game against the Bucs years ago. Warren Sapp crunched him hard right in front of Holmgren. Favre (though injured) got up and right in Sapp's facemask (right in front of where we were sitting). Sapp was talking **** to him. The very next play Favre threw a bomb for a TD. Then the rest of the game (though he was obviously in pain)...totally thrashed the Bucs.
Yup, it seems the Seahawks are in for a good game from him.

I sure don't know how to explain how Favre defies the physical laws of playing in the NFL. I'm sure part of it is his strong arm allows him to constantly throw off balance and still be accurate (last game notwithstanding). Have you ever noticed that when he throws he is almost always going backward, or away from contact?
How many other QB's could get away with such bad throwing mechanics? I think that has helped his ability to stay healthy.

I think Manning could take apart the NE secondary again like he did earlier in the year... and once Merriman returns I think the Chargers D will be back up a notch. It's clear though that the Chargers could win a shootout against just about anyone though.
I just think the Pats secondary is too full holes this year (like last year)... but hey, they are the team that constantly defies expectations.

Bassists are the lineman of music, while guitarists and singers are the RB's and QB's who get all the limelight. Let's see how they do with no rhythm section taking on the heavy hitting!

Bassists are the O-line. In many ways, but we're also like tight ends and fullbacks. We make the rest of the team better, but we can make plays ourselves.
I was thinking of the drummer as more like the RB. They take a bruising, set the pace of the game, and are physical. If you get the ground game going, you'll usually win. If the drummer is on, you have a good gig.
Singers are like the QB in that they direct traffic and are the center of attention.
Guitards are like WRs. Whiny, needing constant affirmation, egotistical, attention seeking, and complaining when they don't get enough plays going to them. They also tend to be locker room cancers
