Bassists are the O-line. In many ways, but we're also like tight ends and fullbacks. We make the rest of the team better, but we can make plays ourselves.
I was thinking of the drummer as more like the RB. They take a bruising, set the pace of the game, and are physical. If you get the ground game going, you'll usually win. If the drummer is on, you have a good gig.
Singers are like the QB in that they direct traffic and are the center of attention.
Guitards are like WRs. Whiny, needing constant affirmation, egotistical, attention seeking, and complaining when they don't get enough plays going to them. They also tend to be locker room cancers. Can't you see TO playing guitar?
Like my drummer does with regularity...You nailed it!
