NFL Week #13

I must admit, I was definitely sweating it all the way up until Buchanon intercepted Brees on the last drive.

The bad: Garcia was awful, Defense was torched for almost 300 yds passing. :rollno:
The good: Defense netted 3 INT's, held them to less than 50 yds rushing and we won the game. :D

They have much to do for Sunday night's game against Carolina! Gonna be a tough one, for sure!

Ouch.

What was up with that hit on Welker? Man - nasty!

Yes, ouch. It hurt to watch that play. Of course, they had to show it about 50 different times. I don't think it was a dirty play. I suppose you could come after Clark for leaving his feet, but he did not lead with his helmet.

But wow.....what a great performance from our boys, a complete thrashing. Ben got the job done and only made one mistake. The Patriots have been a thorn in our sides for years, so it feels real good to go up there and shut them down.

My Colts eeked out another win. They just keep hangin' on and somehow win these games.

All I'll add is look at Freeney and Mathis' numbers since the arrival of Antonio Johnson. What a surprise, having a skilled big man (300 lb plus) in the middle takes a little pressure off the ends.

Mathis has nine sacks for the year and Freeney has 8. Not too bad for the limited opportunities that they both get between short drops and facing primarily run-first offense.

Another great stat about those two is the amount of their sacks that result in a fumble. Freeney's percentage is 50%, Robert's is 59%.

Yep, most everyone gave up on those guys before this recent winning streak. The Colts are the only team in the AFC that I am worried about. They beat us already at Heinz, and that dog gone Manning is an NFL winner....even though he never beat the Gators. :)

Another good week for me :bassist:

Giants get those pesky Redskins out of the way despite the Burress distraction, and the Steelers make a big statement to the AFC that they are the real deal. I really don't give a hoot about the Jets one way or the other, but I was dead wrong about Denver .... they put it to the Jets, big time!

The Champs are one win from a Division title and 1st week bye, Pittsburgh still has a fight on their hands to stay on top of Baltimore so Big Ben is starting to fire up all the cylinders at the right time :D

Good weekend of games, for sure ....

Yeah, those Giants sure are "pistols", aren't they?

Sorry, I was just taking a "shot" at you! :p

Actually, the Giants did look pretty darn good, even though they were not able to "rifle" any passes to their deep threat receiver. :ninja:

And the Steelers, you say? YEAH! They finally got rid of their "Patriot curse". I really enjoyed that game. :D

:D

Burress is stunningly idiotic .... I understand that higher profile people can have a hard time dealing with the public, but he was at the Latin Quarter, not some scummy side street shot and beer joint. What a dope, he can't be gone soon enough for me .... :scowl:

Hah, thanks. I need to go find some napkins.

All quiet from the Patriots fans this morning. Outside of Pacman yesterday, not a one has said a word. Then again, what is there to say about a 23 point beatdown on your home field?
