NFL Week #13

Please, I can't take anymore of this...are you trying out for the new season of Last Comic Standing??? :D

GB's pass defense was overrated...taking a couple picks back for TD's doesn't make a great pass defense. Brees showed just how good they were...not very.

Let Rodgers get a full season or two under his belt before comparing him to anyone. His current record speaks volumes.

How many other last place teams are better overall than the first place teams in their division? Even if the 'Aints somehow pulled one out and Carolina & Atlanta lose, they will still be in LAST place.

Laugh now, while you can. :smug:

It was a so-so GB secondary before his Saints played them. Now that they put up 51 on it, it is now a great GB secondary, or used to be great until they played the Saints secondary.

Just poking some Wednesday/feels-like-Friday fun at ya Gard. :D

-Mike

By the way Gard, the 'Aints don't OWN the Bucs...we swept you last season (on our way to winning to another Division title) and are 7-7 head to head since 2001.

By the way, the Bucs have the BEST home defense in the NFL right now AND are undefeated at home. :D

So chew on that while chewing on some turkey today! ;)

Have a safe & Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree Rich. I don't see how Gard thinks the Aints own the Bucs. We've lost more playoff appearances than the Saints have even been to.

I'm looking forward to this Sunday's game against the Aint's. The Bucs defense has been very solid as of late and the offense still doesn't quite get the props it deserves. They're very underrated IMO and that works to their advantage.

Also one very important factor is the games here in Tampa this week and Tampa usually plays solid at home. So I'm foreseeing a win on Sunday. Even if we do lose its no biggie. We will still have the better record and shot at the playoffs again. The Saints however, will be watching the playoffs from home again. :p

Right from NFL.com

Team Wins Loss Ties Win%
Tampa Bay 8 3 0 .727
Carolina Panthers 8 3 0 .727
Atlanta Falcons 7 4 0 .636
New Orleans Saints 6 5 0 .545

Good lord, that was a lousy Thanksgiving for football.

The Lions should have their charter yanked by the league. They go 0-16...... no question. A total embarrassment to the league.

Cowboys roll. How did Seattle's defense get that bad that fast. That was a really strong unit last year.

Are the Eagles back or did the Cards just have a bad night?

3 lopsided games on Thanksgiving can't make the league happy.

Didn't really expect much out of the first two, but really hoped for more of a game between Cards/Eagles. I think that game was a combination of the Eagles playing one of their best games of the season and Warner having a bad night.

Off to Gillette Stadium we go. We'll take care of the Patriots. This is going to be a big test for us though since Cassell has been going off the last couple weeks.

Time to butt heads with Pacman and his band of Pats fans. Sorry guys, I still love ya....after Sunday. :D

It's cool - my wife is a Steelers fan, too. It's going to be quiet around the house.

I look at this season this way: every win has been gravy after Brady's injury. Nobody expected them to do this well. Pittsburgh is always a physical game, but I think we'll win in a close one. I just wish I could watch it (it's on at 3am on Monday here)

Well, after last night...

:D

...here's my prediction for my Saints this coming Sunday:

Saints 34
Yucks 17

Brees just dissected the best pass defense in the NFL last night, and even if the Saints D doesn't show up against Tampa, there is NO WAY the Yucks can stay in a track meet against the Saints. No way.

Besides, the Saints OWN the Yucks, even when they're bad, which they really aren't....

:smug:

Put the crack pipe down my friend.

Its a home game and Tampa is playoff contenders, the Aint's, aint. You don't think they'll be playing with some intensity and a must win attitude? Yes we were down 17 nothing to Detroit, but what was the final outcome of the game? I believe Tampa handed them an ass whooping. If you think the Bucs defense can't keep up with Brees then you are totally underestimating the Bucs secondary. Our secondary is quite strong. Hell, our D is one of the best in the NFL. They'll keep up just fine. The sun does shine on even a dog's ass from time to time so perhaps Brees just got lucky when he tore apart the best pass D in the NFL. Bucs win by 14.

Yeah, I have to agree with that. I was expecting the Pats and hoping they would really suck this season with the loss of Brady. Just goes to show that one man does not really make or break a good team.

I'll make it a point to laugh at you a lot tomorrow afternoon.
