NFL Week #13

The Superbowl Champion New York Football Giants will have their hands full this week with the Redskins. Another seriously physical game with a division rival, and Washington needs to get this win under their belt to stay in the hunt, since I can't imagine the 'Boys losing on Turkey Day to the Seahawks .... that'll give Dallas the sloppy seconds edge in the division. Gotta figure that the Eagles are already dead meat for the year, so the Redskins really have to try to get a win here if they want a wild card slot.

The Champs should have all the guns loaded and ready for Washington, although Burress is a question mark (no loss if he sits out, IMO ;)), plus the Champs should get some very good pressure on Campbell. Looking for a hard game, again, with the Giants playing a really physical 4th quarter .... NYG 28, WAS 20

It's time for the Steelers to show why they are the cream of the crop in the AFC, and the best way to do that is to smack the Patriots in the mouth. Time to stop all of this fan chatter about how NE is coming back once and for all. No more Big Ben excuses or O-line complaints. Just punch 'em in the face, take the win and go home .... PIT 35, NE 30

The Jets should be able to take this game away from Denver by the half. The way the Jets have been playing lately I can't imagine that the Bronco's have much of a shot here, especially after that horrible performance against the Raiders.

If, and it's a BIG if, the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets are the real deal with Favre(Farve??) then this will be the week they show it. They should win easily .... NYJ 38, DEN 17

Off to Gillette Stadium we go. We'll take care of the Patriots. This is going to be a big test for us though since Cassell has been going off the last couple weeks.

Time to butt heads with Pacman and his band of Pats fans. Sorry guys, I still love ya....after Sunday. :D

-Mike

Well, after last night...

:D

...here's my prediction for my Saints this coming Sunday:

Saints 34
Yucks 17

Brees just dissected the best pass defense in the NFL last night, and even if the Saints D doesn't show up against Tampa, there is NO WAY the Yucks can stay in a track meet against the Saints. No way.

:smug:

Besides, the Saints OWN the Yucks, even when they're bad, which they really aren't....

...mmhmm...let's see...how did that game start against Detroit...oh yeah, you guys were down 17 points to the WORST team in the NFL. Do you really believe, for an instant, that you guys can play track meet with Brees and company?

:D

The only think that will be hurting Sunday is your pride in your team, as they start heading for the bottom of the NFC South.

:smug:

Joke of the NFL week.......the owner of the Browns tells Browns fans "that he is deeply committed to winning". I got a kick out of that one.

This comes shortly after their GM had to publicly apologize to a fan for cussing him out in an e-mail after the fan was e-mailing him and questioning some of his moves.

Maybe only us AFC North guys are laughing..

I'm an NFC North guy, and I'm laughing my butt off! Of course, it helps I'm in Ohio surrounded by a billion obnoxious Browns fans.

Dude, you are really feeling your oats today, huh? That looked like a game for the ages for a while. Then Aaron Rodgers started throwing it to the wrong guys.

Yeah, well, shouldn't us Saints fans, just a bit? I mean, Drew Brees dissected what is arguably the best secondary in the NFL, we had over 100 yards total rushing, the defense essentially shut down their running game (one big gainer, afterward, nothing), and the secondary started playing football in the 2nd half against a QB that had a HIGHER rating than Brees - two of those interceptions were because Jason David had position as much as because Aaron Rodgers shouldn't have thrown the pass! The third was a "garbage" INT that would have actually benefited the Saints more if Kaesviharn had just knocked it down in the end zone (but hey, why not pad your stats in a blow out, right? ;) ).

Sorry, but Jeff Garcia is not the QB Rodgers is, as good as Tampa's defense is, they are not as good against the pass as GB's defense.

Yes, it could end up a loss for the Saints, but realistically, right now, the Saints are the better team overall, and absolutely better on offense (better than EVERYONE :D ).

Please, I can't take anymore of this...are you trying out for the new season of Last Comic Standing??? :D

GB's pass defense was overrated...taking a couple picks back for TD's doesn't make a great pass defense. Brees showed just how good they were...not very.

Let Rodgers get a full season or two under his belt before comparing him to anyone. His current record speaks volumes.

How many other last place teams are better overall than the first place teams in their division? Even if the 'Aints somehow pulled one out and Carolina & Atlanta lose, they will still be in LAST place.
