NFL Week #14

Wow. :hmm: I thought for sure the Steelers would put away the Browns. I mean, they were playing the Browns! How can a team go from the SB champs to whatever they are now in one season? I thought it was the losing team that was supposed to have the SB hangover, not the winner?

IMO, the Steelers playoff hopes died right there in Cleveland.

I am TEMPORARILY returning from my self-imposed exile because of the pain my brother Eric is suffering.

Eric my friend, even though you have insulted me and impugned my honor, on this very page even, I am here to tell you to NEVER give up on your team, root for them until the end, no matter how bad it looks.

Why?

Because, there is always NEXT YEAR.

I have lived this for 40+ years, and my "next year" finally came. You won't wait anywhere near that long...so step back in and be a fan of your team, no matter how they're doing, like the true fan you are.

Why?

So you can be here to help rub SPAZZBLOW'S face in the mud the Cowpatties are about to leave behind themselves on every football field they step on the rest of the year, that's why!

:hyper:

I have only one thing to say before I crawl back under my rock:

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TWELVE AND OH, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET READY FOR 13-0!!!!!

:hyper:

:smug:

(...Stanky, you're a good man, and a good fan, but you're going to be one very sad guy come Sunday afternoon, sorry...)

I wondered how long it'd be before you came back to gloat. :P

Come on back, Gard, I miss the nerd raging between you and the Cowboy fans.

Besides, by now you have a lock to the playoffs and the right to be proud for your boys down in the bayou. :)

Check this out:

Yep. Very sad. The last few games were essentially playoff games for the Steelers and they brought zero intensity to those games.

Man, in the last few weeks they have lost to the Raiders, the Chiefs, and now the Browns. Three of the worst teams in the NFL. After those losses, I need to assume they will go winless for the remainder of the year... and I really hope they do. Let them stew over being absolutely pathetic and a laughing stock for a very long offseason!

Steelers - I was listening to the game on the way home on Westwood one. Three Steelers possessions, and on third down for three consecutive possessions, Big Ben gets sacked. The last one I believe was by a rookie, because all of Cleveland's front D line guys were either injured or out. I don't get it. Meteoric fall from grace. I don't get it. We play the Steelers in a couple weeks. Looking like we may have a chance. But a down, kicked around team is the most dangerous type.

There's plenty of blame to go around with the Steelers. But it looks like it's time for James Farrior to retire. How many tackles did he miss last night?! Pa-thetic all around...

And now they have 3 tough games to end the season (Pack; Ravens; Dolphins). They might not win another game. I guess the only silver lining in this cloud is that they might be in a decent position in the draft... :crying:

This doesn't look good. Not good at all. If Ryan and Turner are in then we stand a chance. Although I was really hoping to see the Redskins pull the upset (I have a soft spot for them because Jason Campbell is one the best QBs ever at Auburn). My prediction is completely based on IF Ryan and Turner are playing and if our secondary learns how to play.

Saints-31
Falcons-33

Nope:

Suspension.

Heart of the D-line gone, no pass rush, no run stop.

That dude is a DUMB@$$...

....it looks like it's time for James Farrior to retire.

James is my favorite player. I'll cry like a baby when he retires.

I think he is injured. He probably lost a step this year, but he isn't as bad as he has looked recently. There are too many jokers in the secondary playing for themselves. Troy goes down and noone steps up to lead the team. They all want to go out and make a name for themselves to try and prove they are as good as Troy.

Before this last game against the Browns, the Steelers losses were all last second touchdown drives in the 4th except for the Ravens game which was an OT field goal.

I believe all those games the Steelers had 4th quarter leads...

Looks to me like all those losses within the last seconds of games took the heart of the team and Tomlin cant get it back.

I would think, in this years draft and offseason, upgrades in the secondary and OL are mandatory to next years playoff ambitions.
