NFL Week #15

Beware of the Chargers. Unless your the Raiders.:D

haha- yeah, well, itd take some sort of massive mathematical error, or the chiefs jet would need to crash for another oakland-sd game this season.

with jackson back, i see the chargers getting to the afc championship game. they always have the answer to the colts, but the pats are their kryptonite. i dont know how the schedule will work out (dont think the playoff bracket is set in stone or anything right now), but unless someone takes out the pats, the chargers will not see a superbowl this year.

As much as I can't stand the Eagles, I have to acknowledge that Vick is their type of QB, much more so than Kolb. Any time the Eagles have been successful there has always been a scrambling QB with a strong arm (Cunningham, McNabb, etc), and Vick is the new generation of that style.

The only thing wrong with that kind of system is that when the scrambling QB is shut down the teams basically stink. Look at the first 52 minutes last week as the example. The great thing about a scrambling QB is that when he is on his game the Eagles are nearly unstoppable (obviously, the final 8 minutes last week).

Not discounting the Giants incredible collapse in that game, which contributed greatly to the W by Philly, but even the biggest Eagle hater has to appreciate the amazing skills this guy has. He out ran a blitzing safety  .... I don't think there is another QB in the league that can do that.

this post...

but yea, right on the money about how philly's become such a qb-run-happy town.

edit: ... then again, what team *wouldnt want someone that can run and have a crazy arm? ;)

Umm...the Chargers aren't even in the playoff picture yet. As much as I want to agree with you, the Chiefs still need to lose and the Chargers still need to win out for the Chargers to make it into the Wild Card round.

I think the Chargers AFCCG hopes depend on the road they have to take to get there. I think they can handle the Jets, but will have trouble with either the Ravens or Steelers.

I am just saying, it is now 6:00PM TUESDAY and I still don't know how the Ravens cheated, or got lucky, or just won because of a kicker, or the refs missed a flag, or whatever.

As an NFL fan, I need to know these things so I can make informed decisions here on out. I watched the game and couldn't find examples of these things, but surely they were to blame.

(Let the record show that I offered ample time for Saints fans to fall on the sword before commencing with hostilities, apologies if I missed a post in the thread).

It is a good thing there aren't any Saints fans around here.

You do realize that you are tapping this with a sledge hammer, right?

I really don't even know what a Roscoe is, but noted.

Not sure what "not sure why you need to" means. Have you seen the posts he has made over this season?

Whatever...so long as I don't have to read the typical crap when they win anymore then I am good.

the offense, sure... but again, super young rookie defense still pissing me off. missed tackles, blown assignments, and for the love of the good Lord, asante, just tackle your man, and stop going for the sky high big risk play.
still, the offense is shaping up beautifully, and today shows that they can just turn it on when they need to. but again, like the last year's young offense, once the defense gets their act together, LOOKOUT.

and seriously, vick's moves makes everyone else look like they're standing still. just unreal. he's still a puppy killer to me, but i'm not gonna slap a gift horse in the mouth.

and why does jeremy maclin get no love? sure, he's not quite making the big sexy time desean like plays, but seriously, half of the other receivers, not to mention vick, all benefit from maclin's superb downfield blocking. give him the dam ball, and gimme some fantasy points.

...the last time Asante hit someone hard it cost him $40k...that ship you're talking about may have sailed LOL LOL LOL
truth is Asante is a foot shorter than the guy he hit so the helmet to helmet hit was mostly incidental but he lost a hunk of cheese and he's not about that LOL LOL LOL
fly Eagles fly
.....I hope the Pack beat the brakes off those poor sport giants.

I have. I think his posts were too much for many people who regularly post here to take. I'll admit, I was one of them. After weeks and weeks of people busting on the guy, I think he finally decided to quit positing in these weekly threads in Off Topic, and instead start his own NFL threads in the Roscoe forum he moderates here at TalkBass. This happened last season as well, then he came back after a while.

Pretty much the guy's a big baby and can't take what he dishes out.

I didn't even think that people were that mean to him this year
