From reading the article and my own speculation, it looks like it is more of a personality issue between McNabb and the Shanahans. I know McNabb is playing poorly, but like you said...Rex Grossman? Really?

Shanny is a good coach, but it's his way or the highway. Why he wanted McNabb isn't clear to me - their styles are different.

BUT - if you want to witness a real cluster function, just take a gander at Denver. Interim coach practically has roller skates on, the team is in saying the right things but is obviously feeling they're in the "deep darks", and for some reason coaches resisted even putting in Tebow (in whom they have a BIG investment) even in garbage time when there's no possible harm to the record.

PREDICTION: If Tebow doesn't play this weekend, the town is going to turn its back on the team.

The Broncos are due for a major, major blowup. I expect to see half the players gone for next season, and extensive turnover in the coaching staff. They could only dream of getting lucky enough to land Cowher or Gruden.

Which is exactly why I think this will turn out very weird. Just a hunch, because my very first thought was the Pats are playing killer ball and with Rodgers out...we're screwed. It's a logical assumption.

But the more I think about it, the more I see it happening. We have the number 1 defense in points allowed, and nobody outside of GB knows much of anything about Flynn (who has been riding the bench in GB for three years).

Just a hunch and nothing else. Wouldn't surprise me if the Pack got creamed, but the Pack winning wouldn't surprise me either.

That is why they still have to play the game. Any given Sunday...

The Pack has no real running game, which is a big problem anytime but especially in December and in the playoffs. Ever since Ryan Grant went down back on game one, Aaron Rodgers has been shouldering an even bigger load.

I believe the Packers defense can hold the score down in this coming game, but can their offense move the chains and punch the ball in the end zone?

Number 12 is a very good QB for sure but had his bell seriously rung last week playing both QB AND RB, so the Packs chances now are slim to beat the surging Patriots, IMO.
Having said that I believe Matt Flynn is very good young QB also, but the test will be huge Sunday night in Boston.

The Redskins are in trouble. It's Mikes son who is the problem...Oh well, once Grossman gets his bell rung by the Cowboys defensive front it'll be a Metamucil moment for both Shanahans....The 'Boys coast.
next year McNabb may be home in Arizona, or under a faulty dome in Minnesota.

Gotta admire you for being a Packers fan, if I were in your shoes I'd do the same. But I'm a Patriots fan, and I'm telling you the Pack won't have an answer for Tom Brady. I've been watching Brady since his first snap in 2000, and I've learned you never bet against him. He has just too many weapons at his disposal. If the Pack play defense like their lives depended on it, then maybe they have a chance - a chance, mind you. If they try to match the Pats in a shootout, they're dead ducks.

And you're going up against the top scoring Offense in the League, with probably the best quarterback in the NFL right now.

I don't see any way the Pats finish this week with an L.

It has to do with Donovan and his salary. If he starts all year, then there are player options and bonuses and more guaranteed money. No start, no money.

Looks as though Teblow will get the start in Denver too. Rough week for starting QB's.

That's what everyone said when we played the Jets in the Meadowland and we goose-egged 'em. Big difference is that Jets turned out to be pretenders. Pats are the real deal.

It would REALLY surprise me if Pats put up 42 on the Pack D. But, we will have 1-2 recently signed street free agents probablly starting with Jenkins out now and now Zombo.
