That said, I think that GB will lock down the #1 this weekend.
Here's why GB fans should be concerned about playing the Saints again:
Pierre Thomas
Darren Sproles
Chris Ivory
Mark Ingram![]()
Drew Brees is more of a concern than the above list, IMO.
I really would not want to play them, but if we had to, I think the best scenario is for the Pack to wrap up home field throughout this weekend, and make the Saints, a dome team, come to Lambeau in late January and hopefully it's 50 below zero and hopefully my friend who has tickets, invites me!Agreed. The RB's, except Sproles on kick returns, don't scare me. Brees does.
I think it'd definitely be a shootout for the ages.
The Niners, Lions, and Giants don't concern me as much. Of course, I could be wrong. The Giants played a hell of a game in NY, but I don't know that they do it again in Lambeau.
At this point, the only way to beat the Packers is for the offense to have a complete collapse. And I'm willing to bet that Aaron Rodgers is dying to play the Niners and smack that organization in the face again.
Don't be so sure the score might be closer than people think. There could be a little of playing down to the competition by the Pack this w/e. It seems like the games that people look past as being cinch games, end up more often than not, not.All the nicked up RB's and O-lineman should be ready for the stretch run, which means the Pack should have a competitive running game for an extreme weather game (cold), should one occur in January at the frozen tundra.
A Niners-Packers NFC Championship game again would be epic.
I feel for KC, a team in transition, for they are going to get their butts kicked hard this Sunday at Arrowhead.
Nope. Both AFC.But dudes, how bad ass would a Packers/Denver super bowl be? Is it possible?
DAMMIT. I'm so wrapped up in this weekends Patriots/Broncos game, that's what I read.Green bay is NFC.

My bad.

Actually, our run defense has been pretty stout, especially lately. We're #12 in rush defense - it's pass D where we suck at #31. In actuality, both Ds are nothing to write home about. Our guys rush better later in the season. We'd have the advantage in most phases at Lambeau I'd dare say, except with Sproles on special teams, and in pass defense vs your pass offense.
I hope your team and coaching staff will discount the #8 overall rushing game in the NFL. Y'know that defense that can't stop running games?
