Lions march 99 yards with 2:14 on the clock to win in Oakland 28-27. Calvin Johnson has 9 catches for 214 yards. The heck with Tebowing, Stadfording is the way to go!

The Lions have a two game lead and the tie-breaker for the wild card with two games to go. I though it was a good win for the Lions since they're playing with a walk on defensive backfield from the MAC conference considering all their injuries. And Suh blocked what could have been a game winning field goal.

The Lions have a two game lead and the tie-breaker for the wild card with two games to go. I though it was a good win for the Lions since they're playing with a walk on defensive backfield from the MAC conference considering all their injuries. And Suh blocked what could have been a game winning field goal.

I can't believe that the Lions pulled that one off, Raiders outplayed them most of the game BUT just like last week they did what they had to do to win. The secondary has been hit pretty hard but it's the NFL, you play your next guy. Smith has been filling in pretty nicely, hopefully they get a couple guys back before the playoffs. Even bigger than the FG block was the fact that Jackson decided to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 20 on the first drive instead of going for the gimme FG for Janikowski from that distance. Raiders win by 2 if he doesn't make that bone-head call, you have to take the easy points that early on.

And a big tip of the hat to the Chiefs and Colts this week, nice work.

Well, dang. You can't afford to turn it over against the Pats, no matter who you are. It would have been a much better game if the Broncos hadn't gifted New England 13 points.

Right Now the Saints are the best team in the league.

In a match up with the Pack, the Packers don't run the ball effectively enough to keep pressure off Rogers. The injuries to the O line today may be more important than the loss. The Saints have enough running game to protect Brees better. Neither team has a great defense, but there aren't any dominant defenses in the NFC.

The Lions are still learning how to win, to me this team is about next year or the year after. Getting to the playoffs will be enough for this team. Healthy they perhaps could make some noise there. Staffords development and getting better on the O line and deeper in the secondary are the keys for the Lions. From what I see there aren't many teams in the league that have the building blocks comparable to Suh, Stafford and Johnson to develop a team around.

Hard to argue with that the way they beat a 2-12 team

Last 2 games, Pack rushing 102 yds and 136 yds, hardly what I'd call an inept rushing attack.

No doubt Saints are playing well but remember they lost to St. Louis and I know you said Right Now. But you might have said - "best team of the week" for that matter.

The Broncos played and succeeded by making no mistakes and capitalizing on others mistakes. They lost for the same reason. That's just a young team. T-Bow looked pretty good in the 1st half.

Tell me, what team, other than Green Bay, do you REALLY think can beat the Saints if they're playing their "A" game (which they certainly did not against either St. Louis or Tampa Bay #1)???

Mike, you're the best with the Straw Man thing!

The only team that I think can beat the Packers is the Saints, I've never claimed the Lions were a better team or even close or that the "Packers were in trouble in the NFC". And for the record, no one in the AFC impresses me.

But the Packers have their best wide receiver out, lost two starting tackles and one back up and had trouble protecting Rodgers against KC, not exactly a defensive power house. I do believe there is reason to be concerned if you're an honest Packer fan. But then again rational thought and wearing a chunk of cheese on your head aren't usually thought of in the same sentence.

In todays NFL, where hard physical defensive play is censored and you can't touch a reciever unless you're a Saints DB covering Nate Burelson. Defenses can't be expected to stop anyone, but they can slow them down or create mistakes. The best way they can do that is get to the QB, so protecting your QB either by having a good running game with a breakaway threat or a superior O line is key. (this is why the injuries to RB have slowed down the Lions so much) The Pack have serious problems in these areas now.
