...man, what a disgusting performance from Pittsburgh last night. Failure started at the top, why Tomlin had Big Ben on the field to start with is baffling...and leaving him in when he was clearly struggling shows either a lack of sense about what is going on, or a lack of giving a damn about winning.

And the Steelers D? They made Alex Smith look like an actual NFL QB.

Yeah, pretty pathetic. It was apparent to me that Ben should not have been playing, even before the game started. Just watching him hobbling around on the sideline told me that they should just rest him in hopes of having the upcoming week to help him heal up. But if they insisted on letting him try, they should have pulled him after the 1st series. He was clearly not himself. No mobility whatsoever. Couldn't use his left foot/ankle properly, so besides the mobility issue, he didn't have his normal accuracy. Now there's no telling when he'll heal up.

I do think, however, that they really did want to win the game very badly. I thought the O-line worked very hard to protect Ben. The defense, however, could not get to Smith. What's up with that? Wasn't the S.F. O-line giving up a lot of sacks? You wouldn't have known it from last night. A night to forget from a Steelers standpoint. Very disappointing.

Baltimore got exactly what they were hoping for. Little brother Jim got the victory over big brother John's most hated rival. No high seed for the Steelers. And on top of that, Ben's ankle is even farther away from healing.

Seattle is an NFC West team now, so even they can't save the AFC this season.

(I'll give props to the SF defense, they're damn good...but still not THAT good...credit that more as a Steelers loss than a 49ers win, IMO.)

That's what been said about every team we won against this year. Nothing new.

As someone who watched every 9er game. Our O-line is not "bad" but very inconsistent. There are games where Alex Smith doesn't get touched, there are games where he gets hit on every play. Not sure whats going on there.

I get the Romo comparison, but I've never known him {Schaub} to be incosistent.

I still don't see, especially since both of them have top top wide receivers, how Stafford goes above Schaub.

Being a fan of the Titans has zero to do with my knowing Schaub. I'd like to think I know most of the players in the NFL who are note worthy and some who aren't.

How can you not know Schaub to be inconsistent? Look at this season for cripes sake

He's been anywhere from a 2 TD zero picks and a 147 QB rating against the Titans to a Zero TD 1 pick 56 QB rating against the Brownies. C'mon man. It's hard to be taken seriously when you are constantly being a fanboi . He's been exactly that his entire career. 98 TDs 58 int's 24 fumbles and zero playoffs = out of top QB discussion.
