Young is horrible, I'll be the first one to say that. Kafka has had very few if any chances this season to show what he's got. They put him in yesterday to kneel the ball twice, what was the point? Anyhoo, I'm on the fence about Jackson. He's a good receiver, but hasn't been as good as he can be this season. A lot of people say that's because of the ongoing issues with him and the Eagles front office. On one hand, I believe if you want the big contract, you go out and play your ass off for it. On the other hand, he had to sit and watch all these other players get signed for bigger money during the short offseason. Our long snapper makes more money than he does. So I do see where he's coming from, but at the end of the day, you're on a team and the individual comes second.
Hey, we're still alive! As long as the Eagles have a chance, no matter how slim, I'm in. Hell, even if they didn't have a chance, there's no jumping ship as far as I'm concerned!!
Steelers, Ravens, 9ers, Texans, Patriots, Chiefs, Bucs, Rams could all beat the Saints and Packers. The Saints and Packers could beat all of them.
I've never understood all the hype about Flacco. IMO he is nowhere close to those guys. He is more than capable of taking the Ravens and that tough D into big games and getting a win but the guys you mentioned along with Peyton are just on another level, they take over games and put up big points, consistently. I wouldn't even group him in with the second tier of guys like Eli, Romo, Rivers, and Stafford, he can't get hot and put up big points fast like those guys can. 17 TD, 11 Ints, Comp% of 57, and a Passer Rating of 80 through 14 games is nowhere close to these other guys and it is a step back from what he did the last 2 seasons. What is the big criticism and weakness the Ravens have shown when they lose? They didn't use Rice enough, which pretty much translates into Flacco does not have the skills to take over games and win them throwing the ball like all these other guys can and often do.
We'll see how it plays out with Flacco. I probably overestimated by saying elite, but he (in my opinion) plays QB very well. I can see him being an elite QB, but there is some more work to do. If Baltimore can keep the pieces together, he has a chance to step over the Eli, Romo, Rivers, group.

Perceptions of QB's is a funny thing. I saw a break down of the top Cowboy QBs after 75 games ( where Romo is at now ) and he is head and shoulders above Aikman at the same point. I had to endure that bastige ( Aikman ) in the 90's and to think he pales in comparison to Romo ( who I'm enjoying sadistically ) now is just plain odd.
Don't get me wrong, Flacco is good, it's a team game and it's about winning and he has proven he does his job well and gets the team wins. I don't see a ton of Baltimore games but I haven't really seen him take over any games and win them with his arm, like the others. It's not necessarily a bad thing as you can see by what has happened to the Colts when they loose an elite guy like Manning compared to what a solid team like the Texans have done with backups after loosing a good QB.
A few reasons for putting Stafford so high, first is I'm a Lions fan and watch him every single week. Second, he's played 27 games, so not even 2 full seasons of experience and he has won a number of games coming from behind. The other teams know the pass is coming and they still can't stop him. The Lions have been decimated at RB this season, having to use 6 RBs, most teams keep 3, so #4-6 probably aren't good enough to even make another team's roster, this means they have to pass all the time and the D knows it, he still gets it done with a bad running attack.
Look at his numbers, 4th in TDs in the league, 5th in yards, 7th in Comp% and Rating, except for the 3 games he played with a broken index finger on his throwing hand, he has been outstanding as far as not throwing picks, 9 of his 14 Ints this year came in those 3 games. He is also 7th in the league in the most important stat of all, Wins.
Being a Lions fan, I know I am biased in his favor but I'd love to hear anyone's arguments for who deserves the 3rd spot on the NFC Pro Bowl roster after Rogers and Brees more than Stafford.
The Pro Bowl? Sure he can have that. Until he wins a playoff game, I don't know how you can place him over Romo or Eli Manning.

Playoff games are team accomplisments, not individual rating systems. Romo has only won one anyways.

The point I was making is I'm not putting Stafford above a guy who has won a Super Bowl. Yeah, one win for Romo, but he led his team to two division titles. Stafford has won.....ummmm....

Stafford is good. Like Matt Ryan, probably Just a little below. He's not as good as Romo, Manning, Rivers.
Yes, he is a good QB. He's an SEC guy, so that part is a given. 
I hope he can play with Calvin Johnson for a few more years and pile up the numbers, that will be exciting football. It would be cool to see Titus Young (I think that is his name) continue to develop.

Points are what win games, the only guys ahead of Stafford this year are the elite guys, Rogers, Brady, and Brees. Considering that Brady and Brees have 10+ years of experience and Rogers has been in the league for 7. I'll take the guy in his 3rd season who is putting up more points than everyone else.
It must be a Michigan thing. Your boy aborgman is all about stats and numbers too. Wins seem to be secondary for you'z guys.

Nah, wins are great - but they're the sum of great team stats. Detroit has had so little talent the last few years no QB, no matter how great, was winning a lot of games.

I gotta go for the 9ers... The Joe Montana led 9ers were the team to beat when I was in high school, and I have fond memories of being a SF fan then. It would really be nice to see them on top again
