NFL Week 17

"Anytime you're part of those conversations, to me, that's enough," McCarthy said. "It's flattering to be mentioned in the same breath with a coach who's won 16 games. I think the season New England had is incredible, and it's a credit to what Coach Belichick has established up there. Just to be part of those conversations says enough about your football team and your coaching staff, that you're doing things the right way, that your program is established and you're pointing things in the right direction. It's all about winning championships. To me, that's the bottom line. All the awards that happen along the way, to me, are gravy. The true goal will be to win the championship."

Class act IMO.

So here I am sitting here after my gig talking with big bens highscool receiver asking for his cell to text him "how bout those jaguars", but for some reason he won't give up the number. Oh well.....

Since I am on a roll, I might as well add "hey Mike, how about this Steelers/Gators".

On a roll? Since when have you been a UM or Jacksonville fan? Let me guess, just as soon as those teams played mine? Hey, that's fine. You can be a front runner all you want. It fits your MO all season long.

Since football is now over for me, all that is left is some NBA hoops. I'm not really an NBA fan anymore, but I do like the Houston Rockets. They play the Washington Wizards Tuesday night, so if the Rockets end up losing, you could always post in the NBA thread about the great "roll" you're on picking against me?

Hehe. :D

Oh come on now....us bucks have been taking ribs from Gator fans for.....a year now. ;) Was it just last week where you made the well placed salt into the wound of Browns fans? Hey I never said it wasn't true, just that it stung a little. ;)

I'm not much into b-ball....so no worries about any more low blows until next year. I do like the Pack these days though, and hate the Patriots...so I have some NFL to watch yet this year.

Then again, I hear there's a semi-important game tomorrow too :D

Yeah, I wonder why? :rollno:

I work with a guy like you....he seems to enjoy other teams losing more than his team winning. He once told me he would rather see one of my teams lose than one of his teams win. I don't mind him getting on me when "his" team beats "mine", but the constant jumping on the bandwagon of whoever UF or the Steelers play is really lame.

I've got too long of a good history at TB with you Tim to ever think of you as a punk, but this other guy sure is. :D

Nah, I aint like that. Fact of the matter is, Ben has a bit of a reputation for being quite the dick around here these days.

Are you seriously a Browns fan? I don't recall you jumping around in the NFL threads as a Browns fan, I probably missed it. Well, that's good to know for down the road. I thought you just always jumped on the bandwagon of the team playing the Steelers.

Yeah....I've had a year to bask in the glory of last years OSU/UF game. But it's just about time for me to shut my yapper. I still love my Gators, but after getting run off the field by UM, I'm pretty much done until spring practice. There isn't a whole lot for me to say anymore in relation to football.

So sad, so sad. :bawl:

That sure is weird how some guys turn out like that. I can think of two NFL players who graduated from high schools in my town. Jerramy Stevens of Tampa, and Mike Sellers of the Redskins. Neither are anywhere near the caliber of player Big Ben is, but both are pretty much jerk-offs when they are in town. This also reminds me of the stories Gard tells about Bret Favre and Kiln, Mississippi.

I don't know anything about Ben and what is going on back in your town, and I'll just keep it that way.

Really? I'm not too hard on the Steelers for the most part. Believe it or not, I don't really hate them. I do like the Browns, but like I said I am more into football this year than I have been before, especially on the pro level.

Last years NC game sucked bad for us bucks fans, but even the sting of that wasn't as bad as some of the SEC fans referring to us as pretenders, unworthy, etc. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow. I just hope it is a good battle on both sides. I can only imagine how rough it will be on these threads for me for the next year if it is another thorough smashing.

So sad, so sad. :bawl:

Only thing I have really heard bad about Favre from the Kiln crowd is how he got smashed and pissed in a flower pot inside of a bar or something. I mean, who hasn't done that? ;)

I hear ya, but OSU has not done anything in recent memory to prove any of us SEC fans wrong. According to ESPN, OSU is 0-8 against the SEC in bowl games. That includes 0-2 under Tressel. But hey, I should probably be bringing this up in the NCAA thread.
