NFL Week #18 Wild Card Weekend

This is the guy the Lions need to win this weekend.

Not holding my breath for the Lions who backed into the playoffs. They showed what they were the last three weeks of the season. A mediocre team in a mediocre conference. There really isn't a whole lot of difference between the Lions, Saints, Tampa Bay and Washington this year. But the Lions won't beat Seattle in Seattle. I think Quinn is on the right track. But the Lions lack a pass rush with Anseh playing hurt all year, can't stop any team with a good QB. And the offense doesn't run the ball well enough to keep the ball out of the hands of the other team. Plus Staffords injured finger is effecting his accuracy. Before the injury Stafford was as good as any QB not named Brady in the league, he's moved down a couple of notches since the injury. They need that other guy to win a road playoff game.

It looked like the Lions receivers had vacation flights to catch? their performance was beyond ridiculous. Conner Cook didn't look bad at all and for some reason the back ups never get enough reps in practice to make them useful and if he could go to a team that would actually develop him I think he could be a decent pro.

I think that some of the better QBs in the NFL are in the NFC north. Stafford is very good, although his receivers had hands of stone yesterday. I've been very impressed by Sam Bradford in Minnehaha this year, and of course - there's Aaron Rodgers. For the last five weeks, he has ruled the game. His passes look like a master throwing darts.

Hoping for a cheesy victory today!
