Much as it pains me to say this, because I can't stand him, but Tom Brady is NOT a one-legged Ben Roethlisberger.
No way the Broncos can win in a shootout, and the Patriots will put points up in bunches.
Defense doesn't win championships, POINTS win championships. You have to both score them, and make sure the other team scores fewer.
Same reason the 49ers are in over their heads - great defense, but they cannot keep up with what the Saints will be doing, outside...grass...don't matter, sorry. Just to be clear, the guy in that photo up there ^ is just one leg of the #6 rushing game in the NFL this season, and the BEST rushing attack in the playoffs right now. Yes, BETTER than SF's.![]()
I'm so confused on how SEC guys can chant "defense wins every time" in the college thread. But in the NFL it's, "Can't win without great offense".
And no way is NOLA a better rushing team than the Texans. Or the 9ers. OR the Ravens. I'd also be more worried about the Broncos (Wow, did Tebow have a great game last week) running than NOLA.
But I do think Brady will beat the Broncos, good point on the shootout capability of both teams.
