NFL Week #19

The key to beating the Colts is usually keeping Manning off the field, and I don't think any team in the league is better poised to do that. Teams have been stacking 8+ in the box against us all year, and we still out-rushed every NFL team out there, even w/o our most explosive RB on the field. One of our RB's is a rookie too.

True. Peyton IMO is the best QB in the league. Keeping him off the field is critical to a Jets win. Fortunately the Jets have two great backs and one of the best offensive lines in the game. If Indy can't stop them then they're toast.

I dunno if the Jets WILL do it (that all depends on the execution in ALL phases, and ST needs to get back to the level of play where they once were. I know Abraham Elam is gone, but Wright and Ihedghebo are still there and need to be on their A game to help us win the field position battle) but I know they absolutely CAN do it.

Another very good point and one I forgot about. Special teams needs to step up and give the Jests good field position while not giving up much field position when they give the ball away. If they can consistantly give the Jets good position and a relatively short field to work with it should make life very difficult for Indy due to the Jets ground attack.

S'ok tho... keep looking past the Jets and counting them out, it's worked out well for Cincy & SD fans so far.

+1

You know, I think the Jets could win the Super Bowl and people still wouldn't give them the credit they deserve.

silver fox has this team psyched and they are hyped up...yhea they suck on the road but playing in a dome and on art turf which they love and after handing a team that beat the saints there butt....vikes will win this one...

Uh..."beat the saints there butt"?

Seriously, where to begin?

...ok, first of all, LEARN THE LANGUAGE YOU GREW UP USING, PLEASE. :rollno:

Secondly, the Cowboys won by SEVEN points.

Let me help you grasp this: ONE score.

Now, the Saints just BURIED the Cardinals, a team which beat your Barneys by 13 a few weeks ago, so if you want to use YOUR "logic" that the Barneys are better than the Saints because of who they beat, it works both ways, don't it? Oh, and that was IN A DOME, even though it was on actual grass.

:spit:

I'm thinking that Brent FAR-VUH will show up in his "I can't hit the broadside of a barn" version, and toss at least 2 interceptions, while getting his 40 year old @$$ stapled to the Superdome turf by the blitz packages Gregg Williams is already dialing up.

Oh, and find your own chant, Who Dat is old school New Orleans, from the 1800's. :smug:

OK, wanna trash talk, let's go rookie!

:hyper:

Your guys put up a 31 point differential against the team that beat us by 7 points, when we weren't even putting our full team on the field, or our full offense. It took the Barneys all of 4 quarters to do so.

On the other hand, the Saints put up a 31 point differential against a team that your boys fought tooth and nail against, but still lost by 13 points to. The Saints put that point differential up in UNDER THREE QUARTERS. They literally coasted for half of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th on the way to that 31 point win...against a team that the Barneys best efforts fell 13 points short of tying.

:smug:

Remember all this next Sunday when Brent FAR-VUH is in tears at a podium retiring YET AGAIN, because he's a self-centered primadonna drama queen, and since he isn't going to the Super Bowl yet again, he's going to take his marbles and go home.

Remember this when he has 2+ interceptions, and can't hit any open receivers because there ARE NONE.

Remember this when the Saints are blowing up that defensive backfield that you guys thought was an upgrade from having Darren Sharper in (by the way, at least one INT will be Darren, just because it's poetic justice - and he may just set the record for INT returns for TD's by a defensive player with it...that would be BEAUTIFUL).

Naw cher'.

Dis rah chere be gibberish:

No sir, I met Justin many times, always made perfect sense to me. :) Not to mention, HOOOYAAA, that man could COOOOOOK!!!

Nice guy, and a LOT of what you folks out there saw was a put on, playing up his Cajun-ness, he had an accent, but nothing like that. He was well read, intelligent, polite, kind, thoughtful, and a joy to meet. I was fortunate, a nephew of his went to high school with me, we were buddies on and off, and I'd see Justin once in a while, I was glad to have known him.

:)

You know, I want to try and understand the trash talk bein' laid down in here, but the run on sentances, lack of capitalization, punctuation or a recognizable point, kinda makes it tough.

If you're gonna go toe to toe with Gard, you best bring your A game. I've done so, and I might've bested him a time or two BUT the guy is a stat hawk, thinks well on his feet and will leave you in a fury of pointing out all your grammatical errors.

If you're willing to try, you're in for a long day.

:D

God Bless, Ray

If I read the Vikings web page correctly Favre threw 7 picks all season and none in post season play.

I would suspect Nawlins is going to send in the dogs and though he (Favre) reacts well under pressure he also makes most of his mistakes when he tries to make something happen under pressure. Based on the amount of picks he's thrown all pre/post season, I'm thinking we see more over thrown passes and 3 and outs than interceptions. Though I would love to see him picked off a few times.

He was also sacked 37 times, 3 of which were in post season; so, I would be more inclined to agree with you on his ass being stapled to the Superdome's turf. Even if he isn't sacked a single time I do foresee him being the recipient of many knock downs. I'm cool with those too just as long as he's punished.
