But hey, Rice and Boldin could break free and go buck wild on us. It will be a good game, and since it is at home, we have the Renegade factor in our favor.

Rice has had some decent games against PIT in the past.

As a guy who appreciates games that feature defense, it should be a fun game to watch.

Giants look discombobulated, but they did their Superbowl year until they beat the Bears and began some good momentum for them. We need to remember that, and take this game seriously. They still have 3 good receivers that can cause problems for our secondary, and Bradshaw has some talent as well. I think our offense can play well against their D, but if our D plays bend but don't break and let's Manning get some confidence it could be a long day. We gotta pressure him and knock him on his arse, and keep him from getting a rhythm.

The Giants have issues, no doubt. It was evident in the pre-season and remains troublesome now. As much as I dislike big-mouth braggarts, at least when Shockey or Burress (and the rest) were there, some fire was present. They have been way too mechanical so far on 2010 and are missing the "team spirit", as corny as that sounds ....

NYG put up 200+ yards more offense than TENN, but sloppy penalties (stupid, sloppy penalties) consistently shut down the momentum. Manning was 34 for 48 for 386 yards, the Giants were 200 yards more productive than the Titans .... basically, if you look at the stats they out-played the Titans in most categories .... except for the score.

It's easy to dismiss Big Blue after a couple of really bad looking games. No one is more guilty of that then me. But it'd be a mistake to take them lightly .... :)

I hereby predict Denver losing the majority of the remaining games. And each one will go something like this: Kyle Orton continues to set records in the air, but the lack of anything vaguely resembling a running game will keep Denver the most inept red zone team in NFL history. Any team with the basic minimal desire to rack up 14-17 points will have Denver playing catch-up, but, they won't. To keep up the false hope and excitement level, McDaniels will continue giving up 3 in the hand for the 7 in the bush that never materializes.

Sheesh, Shanahan could produce 100-yard-per-game runners with your grandmother. This is just pathetic.

I'm wondering if the benching of Harris is to send a signal, or to save him from injury for a pending trade.

I don't see how you deactivate him for practical game time reasons. Even if he isn't up to par, he at least provides solid dpeth.

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - Game of the week. Gonna be either a complete letdown/blowout one way or the other, or a major defensive battle. A game I won't want to miss, but will not see all of, sadly. Home team wins in a good one, IMO. Ravens 17 Steelers 23

Cincinnati @ Cleveland - Battle of Ohio. Not. Cincy 31 Cleveland Steamers 13

Denver @ Tennessee - I can't figure Tennessee out. Denver, on the other hand I have. Denver 17 Tennessee 27

Detroit @ Green Bay - I wouldn't want to be the team facing the Packers the week after that MNF performance! :eek: Detroit will show up, and all things considered they'll do well. Unfortunately "all things considered" for Detroit means not getting completely blown out. Detroit 17 Green Bay 31

Seattle @ St. Louis - St. Louis beat Washington last week, so they're good, right? Seattle beat San Diego last week, so THEY'RE good, right? Nope. SD is just a little bit better than StL. Seattle 20 St. Louis 17

San Francisco @ Atlanta - Atlanta got the W against my boys last week. That's as good as they get. SF is either going to quit on Singletary or they're going to come out angry and take it out on the Falcons. Tough to know...so I will go with my gut feeling. SF 24

Houston @ Oakland - Oakland is wishing that Houston hadn't been embarrassed by the Cowgirls. Really wishing that hadn't happened. A very angry Texans team takes it out on the Raiders in front of their home crowd. Houston 35 Oakland 13

Arizona @ San Diego - SD beats up on a weaker team. Again. SD fans see the Super Bowl in their future. Again. Unfortunately, they'll be in the stands watching someone else. Again. However, for this day... Arizona 13 San Diego 27

New England @ Miami - Tough to call, both teams have lost to the Jests, in close contests. Home field 3. NE 20 Miami 23

IMO, the talent in the league is already diluted, and adding two more games will likely cause more injuries for the players thus diluting the talent pool more. The NFL is already a battle of attrition, and it will be even more so with 2 more games.

On the other hand, 2 more games will give vets who aren't on a team a better chance of getting signed to cover an injury.

I'm with you Jive. It's a brutal sport. Most of these guys play in some state of disrepair as it is. Two more games means more players playing hurt or even sidelined.

To me, 16 is enough. I don't mind watching guys with no real chance to make the final roster playing out their dream of a lifetime in late August. It makes for some good football if you ask me.

Oh well though.

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - pittsburghs defense seems back to it's old strength (was the difference last year really just polamalu? short answer: yes). on the other hand baltimore may have found it's offensive grove... i'm going to say that it's not a deep enough grove though, so Blotimore 13 Pittsblergh 14

Cincinnati @ Cleveland - Cincinnati is both a stones throw from being a really good team.. and a stones throw (as in some of those rocks that palmers being throwing) from being terrible. Cleveland takes advantage of 3 palmer turnovers and a PRT (punt return touchdown) to win it. Bungles 10 The Forsaken City 13

Denver @ Tennessee - I forsee a potentially exciting game for some reason.. Ponys 24 Oilers 27
