I beg to differ sir. A 17-3 win in a game their defense dominated with 10 sacks

Their D woke up, but Manning and the offense did nothing behind it.

Majority of the game was played at 3-0. AND Cutler didn't play the second half.

IMO the entire NFC East is playing poorly (including my guys).

Though the Giants got the W, I'd hardly call that a wake up game.

Gotta agree somewhat, Ray .... you'd think with 10 sacks that they would have had more production. But Manning was 183 yds passing and the run game was 189 yds, really pretty typical NYG stuff. This has never been a really dominant team in the way you'd think of the Pats in the past or the Saints last year. As a Giants fan, you go into every game with your heart lodged in your throat somewhere until you see the game start to unfold ....

But the entire division is struggling, no one is in command .... season is still wide open for the taking ....

To be honest the Giants and Cowboys are similar in that they have tons of talent at the skill positions but they find ways to futz things up. Case in point being the abandonment of the running game by the Cowboys and the deflected INT's by the Giants. Both poor decisions that cost drives and wins.

After last night's game, I couldn't help but wonder: is Chicago's O-line really that bad? Really? WTBH? They looked like the Keystone Cops out there. Totally unbelievable.

Yes they are, I honestly think the Lions O-Line is better. They haven't blocked anyone including the Lions

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - Game of the week. Gonna be either a complete letdown/blowout one way or the other, or a major defensive battle. A game I won't want to miss, but will not see all of, sadly. Home team wins in a good one, IMO. Ravens 17 Steelers 23

Whew, that was a barn-burner of a game. Didn't quite turn out as expected though, nice last minute drive by the Ravens - not such a nice defensive performance in the clutch. -1

Cincinnati @ Cleveland - Battle of Ohio. Not. Cincy 31 Cleveland Steamers 13

Wow. Cincy is really stinkin' it up. They have a lot of talent on the field, but not playing as a team at all. Stinker of a game. -1

Denver @ Tennessee - I can't figure Tennessee out. Denver, on the other hand I have. Denver 17 Tennessee 27

Detroit @ Green Bay - I wouldn't want to be the team facing the Packers the week after that MNF performance! Detroit will show up, and all things considered they'll do well. Unfortunately "all things considered" for Detroit means not getting completely blown out. Detroit 17 Green Bay 31

Whoa. Detroit really pushed the Pack to the wall in this one. Great game, and the Lions have to be the best 0-4 team in the NFL right now. +1

Seattle @ St. Louis - St. Louis beat Washington last week, so they're good, right? Seattle beat San Diego last week, so THEY'RE good, right? Nope. SD is just a little bit better than StL. Seattle 20 St. Louis 17

San Francisco @ Atlanta - Atlanta got the W against my boys last week. That's as good as they get. SF is either going to quit on Singletary or they're going to come out angry and take it out on the Falcons. Tough to know...so I will go with my gut feeling. SF 24 ATL 21

Stupid play by a show-boating DB cost SF their first win. Dude just had to fall down and it was essentially over, but no, he had to try and score. Situational awareness is important, folks! -1

Houston @ Oakland - Oakland is wishing that Houston hadn't been embarrassed by the Cowgirls. Really wishing that hadn't happened. A very angry Texans team takes it out on the Raiders in front of their home crowd. Houston 35 Oakland 13

Oakland made a good showing in this at the end, but in the end, they were just no match for a P!$$ed off Houston team. +1

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville - I'm off the Jax-wagon. WAY off this week. Like looking for facilities in Los Angeles off. Indy 38 Jax 17

Again, the Blots beat up on a sub-par team in their home stadium. Again, Blots fans are seeing Lombardi trophy's in their eyes. Again, they'll be let down. But for now, yup. +1

Nope. Peee-ewwwww, the Bears laid a stinker on offense...or was the Giants D just THAT good and waiting to wake up? Guess we'll find out eventually. For now... -1

New England @ Miami - Tough to call, both teams have lost to the Jests, in close contests. Home field 3. NE 20 Miami 23

First half I felt like a visionary. That didn't last. The special teams in Miami apparently take the short bus to practice.... -1

Carolina @ New Orleans - Wow. This will be ugly. Really, really ugly. Carolina can't find their butts with both hands, and NO is ANGRY about letting a game get away.

That game was nowhere close to as close as the score was, the Saints just rolled all over the Panters, but either fumbled away scoring opportunities, or just flat went flat.

That said, considering that their two starting RB's were out, the QB was wearing a brace, starting SS and FS were out, tentative starting OLB is still out, and two safeties were injured in the course of the game, we'll take the notch in the "W" column here.

Not impressive on the scoreboard, but when they're bringing their "C" game for the first 4 weeks and have a 3-1 record, I'm not jumping off a cliff. Eventually, they will start playing the game they're capable of...and then it's on!

Man, I'm stinkin' it up this year. Lot of teams are not playing up to the potential I'm seeing, others are playing much better ball than I expected. Weird season.

Going below .500 for the week takes me below .500 for the season: 32-30

The offense let the defense down in this game if you ask me. But the Ravens defense had something to do with that.

The Ravens made some plays when it counted, they won the game fair and square. They won't win the division though, even with Ed Reed back.

Agreed, I'm very impressed by the way the Steelers have played so far.

Wish I could join you in NOLA for the Halloween game...but finances preclude that trip for me.

meh. i'm not too concerned about the ravens unless waffles-burger blows it this year.

pittsburgh just about won with the 4th string qb driving. on their last possession they were -one- productive down (meaning positive yardage without getting a freaking penalty) away from being able to run out the clock and win the game.

nevermind missed fg's or fuddled scoring attempts or anything else - just a single positive yardage, penalty-free down and they'd have won, with a guy driving the bus who would've been working a used car lot if ben hadn't been such a lech last year.

either ben comes back on a mission and rewards the d for being the juggernaut that it is with some offensive productivity, or else it's gonna be a long year of games like this one. i wouldn't mind an offensive line that played a bit more professionally too, but i don't want to be greedy heh.
