NHL 2013 post season thread!

At my gig (2nd of the day), & waiting for crowd to thin from dinner set so we can set up (9:55 pm as I type).

Bruins look so crappy & Bergeron is hurt so, for once, I want these people to hurry up, eat & clear out just so I don't have to watch this lousy game.
Chicago looks much better. Uggh.

Oh there was a game on tonight.

I actually caught a little bit of the second at dinner (took the wife to a dive bar that has awesome unpretentious food; a favorite spot). Hawks were clearly dominating. The pace was fast and hardnosed. Boston is playing the physical game. I didn't really see the Hawks have an answer for that (with the exception of Stu Bickel apparently).

Seemed like Chi also had the edge in faceoffs. Not coincidentally; they won.

So enough about teams I don't care about.

Flyers are cutting the cord with Briere; which everyone here; myself included, was pretty much predicting would happen. Not official official but Homer made the announcement. It's sad but not surprising. I did like Briere a bit; especially around playoff time,...but it's pretty obvious what the organization had to do. There are some fans that think it's a bad move. I think it is what it is.

I saw rumors that Bergeron was out with a spleen injury.

A spleen injury? That's a new one to me.

Probably not going to know what really happened until after all the dust settles.

This series has seemed pretty evenly matched.

I feel bad for Toews. Boston has been pretty much nullifying him the entire series. Chicago really needs to step up to the plate and back their captain up with physicality of their own. I get really frustrated when I see that sort of thing allowed to happen unchecked.

Won't be able to watch the game tongiht. WDIV channel 4 in Detroit will not be covering the game. Instead they will be covering the local fireworks show. The game is supposed to be covered by another local station (not NBC) which isn't covered by my cable company in my area.

Who the H E double hockey sticks decides to cover a 20 minute fireworks show instead of a possible Cup clinching game of the Stanley Cup Finals???
