The Wild manage to pull Bill Guerin out of Pittsburgh and make him their new GM. Good move for Guerin, but I was hoping he'd stick around and take over to Rutherford, who at age 70, will likely be stepping down in the near future. From what I've read, Guerin has the tools for the job, and has moved up the ranks of the front office rather quickly. Good luck to him in Minnesota.
In other news, Derick Brassard signs with the Isles. He was decent in Columbus and Ottawa, and quite productive as a Ranger, but for whatever reason hasn't found his game since. His stint in the 'burgh was a complete bust, and then being traded twice within a month last season (to Fla, then to Col) didn't help. Hope he can turn things around.
