NHL Playoffs!

The Ducks are done as far as I'm concerned, they will have a hell of a time trying to accomplish much of anything in Edmonton, maybe a win bt not pulling back from the series. They played decently last night but just couldn't put anything in and then there is Pronger, that guy is just too big, and hes good. I do hope they come back to anahiem once more so my tickets don't go to waste.
If there's no Game 5, I'm sure they refund your $$$.:smug:

Got that right! Roloson is standing on his head! The games I've gotten to see in all the series have been really good, with minimal chipiness and great play all around. Hockey needed a play-off season like we're having right now, even if the big markets/favs are gone the games have been awesome. (bigfatbass points at NJ and says in his best Nelson voice: "HA-ha!")

Here's hoping anyone holding a playoff ticket gets to use it!*

* Providing Buffalo still wins. Go Sabres go!

ya Roloson is GOOD. my seats all season and playoffs are like 4 rows up directly behind the visiting goalie(1st and 3rd period). Roloson has a damn good eye. Some of his saves I don't know how he saw them, I'm guessing some were just good guesses on where it was going. Edminton also out muscles the Ducks. They are bigger and just as fast for the most part, bad combination. The Ducks have been workin and gettin i nthe shots but they just can't get it past roloson.

Just got home the from the gym, they have every damn game on there for every other sport except they dont get OLN so I havn't been able to watch the hockey games and didn't see tonights game. I was constantly refreshing the play by play stats on my cell phone though.

I'm looking forward to tonights game. Should be a good one, and I missed yesterdays game unfortunately, but saw the highlights.

And this is the second time Roloson has played against the Ducks in the conference finals in the last 3 seasons, I'm sure he wants to win this one pretty bad. Ducks definately need to step it up tonight if they want to have a chance to win at all.

I know I sound like a broken record here; the Ducks are the better team, but the Oilers capitalized on all five of the Ducks' mistakes. Anaheim dominated the Oilers, but had a few serious giveaways and brain lapses that Edmonton pounced on.

All of Edmonton's goals were odd-man rushes, or PP goals, except for the Beauchemin/Niedermayer brain fart. Anaheim took it to them, but it wasn't enough. Awesome game!

I feel bad for Randy Carlyle, though. The Oilers must be the bane of his existence......
Last time he saw them in the playoffs, his Jets were up 3-1 on the Oilers, only to lose 3 in row, and Edmonton won the Cup that year.

Oh well, I'm still pulling for the Ducks, but it doesn't look good.

WOW. Really amazing how Roloson just started opening up after being almost unbeatable for the first two games.

I think Anaheim has figured out their game, but I don't think it will be QUITE enough to overpower the Oilers. I'm expecting a sweep.

Ok i have a question. Does anyone think that reason Anaheim lost was Bryzgalov??? These idiots on OLN blame him for Anaheim's lost... i quote (not exact what they said but about 90% close) "do ducks start the same guy in goal, the same guy who put them in this situation, the guy who did not play well and lost the game for them". I personally did not see a single goal that i would expect a goalie to stop 100% against Bryzgalov. I really don't like these commentators.

I figure Bryz is playing fine, but Rolie is playing better. Not to beat a dead horse, but it reminds me of the Emery vs. Miller battle that eliminated my Sens (can you tell I'm still a bit hung up on that?). Emery was making some huge saves, but to win he had to make just one or two more. Same thing seems to be true for Bryz. If a goalie is going to win a game or a series or the cup for your team then he can't be letting in any soft goals.

The Ducks are switching to Guigere tonight and I really can't blame them. I don't figure it's because Bryz has been playing horrible (though there have been a few soft goals), but more because the team needs something to change and that's one of the easiest changes to make. I can't see them winning the series, but they'd sure like to take it back to Cali at least once more.

+1

And plus one more the OLN gang is weak. A little too full of finger pointing instead of praise. It's always someone's fault they lost instead of someone's fault they won with these guys.

more importantly though, Holy crap, how bout them Sabres!

Go Sabs Go!
