I'm disappointed. I was hoping FLA would play better. I have to give Vegas credit, they are locked in like a machine and having their way with FLA.
I've fallen asleep half way through both games now. They're not even good games.

Exactly. Don't feel like watching such one-sided games, especially when the team I'm pulling for is on the losing side of them. So far, these Finals have been disappointing, considering the way the Panthers and Bobrovsky played in the first three rounds, and then they give us these two disasters.

The Blue Jackets wanted to upstage the Finals and made the first big trade of the summer, landing Ivan Provorov from Philly by way of LA. Philly gets a big haul of picks and prospects, but also had to take on a couple of bloated contracts, while the Kings basically paid to shed those contracts by agreeing to retain 1/3 of Provorov's salary. Now they have cap room to sign Gavrikov. A strange deal, but each team comes out with what they wanted.

Still seems weird that teams who are out the playoffs can make trades before the Cup is won.

Well, props to the Golden Knights. Even though I was rooting for the other team, I'm happy for those guys and Coach Cassidy. And for Eichel, too. That guy's been through a lot of bad crap in his career and now he's a Cup champion.

Was somewhat surprised at the Conn Smythe going to Marchessault, but he was one of a handful of players that could have won it, so no complaints.

Now, on to the draft and the free agency carousel. Let the fun begin!

Should we also rename the Presidents Trophy to something more accurate like the YerNotGonnaWinTheStanleyCup Trophy? Or to simplify maybe just the TakeOffEh Trophy?
