No offense to anyone, but I'm glad. 1-0 yawners just aren't my thingSo far in these playoffs we've seen games of 7-6, 7-4, 5-3, and a couple at 4-3 and 4-2. For those of you longing for 1-0 tight defensive battles, you might want to grab a seat. Might be a while.
No worry over that happening now. I give the Bruins a 50/50 chance of even taking this series, let alone making a deep run. If Florida and Carolina make short work of their series, I'd say either one of those teams is a better pick. We'll see.
Yep, same here. I miss those Oilers teams of the 80s, and the Penguins of the 90s.
I'll wait for my 1-0 game. To me, high scoring games isn't hockey. That's just guys scoring goals. 7-6? 5-3? Is anyone playing defense?
Then again, I've always been more of a fan of defensive play in any sport I'm watching.

I think what ruined it for me, The left wing lock years and the rule set that went with it. Incredible waste of talent passing back and forth or playing dump and chase.
Much prefer wide open skating
The dreaded Trap system. I still hate New Jersey for that reason decades after they employed that boring system, even though it brought them a Cup or two.
You can still have a good 1-0 game if it's free-wheeling and up-and-down the ice. But those Devils teams...let's just say when you need a cup of coffee to stay awake for the 3rd period, you know you're watching the Trap.
Totally agree on the boring style of hockey employed by some teams.
Although we shouldn't equate a 1-0 finish with a terrible style of hockey. Defense and goalies can make a 1-0 game exciting.

That was my fault. Certainly can have wide open hockey and good goaltending
That neutral zone hockey brings the 1-0 suck though
Well Colorado didn't leave the puck sitting in their own zone as much and the goalie stopped more than 2 shots, so they pulled off a miraculous victory!

Yeah, especially after they were actually picked by a few pundits to emerge out of the West and make the Final. Not a good start to that journey.

They once again, let their collective emotions dictate their play and that, along with their shoddy goal tending, cost them game three. Bruin's goalie out goalied Toronto's.
Not holding out much hope for Saturday's game as selfish penalties will crucify the team...
