3-1 teams win 90.5% of their series
Well the bruins themselves make up 7% of those that lost, so yeahTrue.
But last year, same round, the Bruins were also up 3-1. That one didn't turn out too well.

They played strong tonight, though. We'll see if they can close it out at TD Garden.
Last year's team was generally softer physically, older, and not as healthy. 2023 Bruins shot their load during the regular season, and IIRC Montgomery was reluctant to switch goalies. Neither Swayman, Ullmark, or the whole team were playing well as that series developed, and Florida wore them down.I remember the B's up 3-0 and losing to Philly in 2010. Another cliche that often turns out true is that the fourth win is the hardest.
We have to give more credit to Florida as well. Not counting out Toronto, but I don't see the Bruins being handled in the same way Florida did last year by this Leafs team. Fans booing the Leafs to end the 2nd period appropriately indicates where their game is, or at least was, last night.
And this year. I didn't expect the Lightning to win yesterday, but glad they did-at home. Liking both teams can be trying at times. We have to give more credit to Florida as well. They obviously had a stout team last year
I was more surprised the Fla got up 3 before TB won. TB was a decent team all yearAnd this year. I didn't expect the Lightning to win yesterday, but glad they did-at home. Liking both teams can be trying at times.
Florida made some great-and somewhat surprising(Tarasenko, Okposo)-acquisitions in the off season/trade deadline. TB played better toward the end of the regular season and Sergachev coming back gave the Lightning a boost, but it may be too little too late. Makes it interesting-er though. In the Vegas-Dallas match up, I quit watching after 2 and went to bed
It was all Vegas, and much better T.O.P and puck control than Dallas
That said, Dallas had 4 breakaways in the 2nd, 3 of them clean. Their shots were poor.
Next shot by Vegas on the PK went in the Dallas net
Although Dallas won in OT, I'm sure thats why they lost the first 2
I'd say run it to 7, but that didn't slow FLa down last year until the finalsFlorida made some great-and somewhat surprising(Tarasenko, Okposo)-acquisitions in the off season/trade deadline. As much as I dislike Marchand, Tom Wilson is worse. Those two give the NHL a bad rep.Got the Bruins and the Leafs on right now. Watching to see who Marchand's next victim will be. The guy has a problem.
That one is actually a lot milder than some of what is being said and written. Very accurate though. Golf Leafs Golf!Canadian news has some opinions to share
Frustration spills over for Maple Leafs core as season, future hangs in balance
Well he's no Sean AveryAs much as I dislike Marchand, Tom Wilson is worse. Those two give the NHL a bad rep.
