On another subject, apparently I have reached level 24!
To which these guys reply . . . "Amateur!" :)

Hey! The Penguins snatched up Sebastian Aho!!

Huh? You mean the 4th pairing defenseman from the Isles, and not the superstar center from the 'Canes? Oh. Nevermind.

With this and the Grzelcyk signing, the Pens are going to lead the league in category of 'Defensemen 5'10" & under'. I can already see the other Metropolitan teams licking their chops to play against them in '24-'25. Coupled with Erik Karlsson, who plays NO defense, we'd better get some good goaltending or it's gonna be a long season.

Dumbass loves little D-Men. It worked out real well in T.O. Looks like he has not learned his lesson.

The Pens are at a cross road as I see it. Dumbass is going to have to either sign Crosby to an extension, if Sid will sign, given the current status of the team.
So, if Sid signs and decides to ride out the rest of his hockey career in Pitt, how does Dumbass surround him with a competitive team? If Sid decides he wants another cup before he retires, how does Dumbass sell that to the fan base?
The Penns need to do a full re-build, but I suspect that there is very little interest in that from the fan base.

It's a fish, usually pretty toothy. Maybe they are saying they want him to be a Shark?
I get the joke, but just as a FYI, in reality a pike is a long pole. Roman soldiers would carry a pike-sharpened, of course- into battle. The Emperor would then affix the heads of their fallen enemies on the pointy end as a warning. The term "turnpike" comes from the long pole at the toll house that would raise to let you pass. So a long, skinny fish became became a pike.

Don't even read about what the Assyrian armies did with their pikes.

For no particular reason I just remembered a story my daughter told me. She was at work(a very politically correct place)and was describing the actions of a black hockey player(sorry, don't recall who offhand). One of her co-workers said "don't you mean 'African-American'?" To which my daughter replied, "Well since he was born in Canada, I think he'd be offended." Co-worker had nothing to say.
