Could have used some of them on the guys team. In other news, if the USA wins 3 more World Junior Championships, they will have half as many as Canada.
I guess considering since the United States is only half as old as hockey I mean Canada that's probably OK
ECAC hockey on a Saturday night in Hanover, I love it.

Yah, they have played only 10 minutes of good hockey in the last three games... and that was in game one of the three games! They look un-interested.

Pens' season is over. After playing well enough to be in contention for the Wild Card race, they fall flat on their faces and go 1-3-1 on a five-game homestand. They somehow top the Oilers for the only win. Got trounced by the Sens. And coughed up late leads to Columbus, TB, and Seattle...all games they should have won had they played the full 60 minutes.
Our goalies have a bad habit of giving up a goal on the first shot of the game (something like 9 times this season). Hard to win when you're trailing so early so often.

.500 in the VERY long trip while juniors were in Ottawa , that's good enough without their #1 goaler

The race in the east is gonna be incredible until the end , playoff hockey before playoff !
Rangers looks like they just remembered how to play , they might do it too , who knows
I don't think Montreal will keep the pace , they don't have the depth , 1 or 2 big name injured and they're done me thinks

I don't follow the Pens much anymore, but as I recall didn't the hotshot GM of the Pens sign that guy to a decent contract just a year or so ago?
I remember liking Jarry early on, but he never seemed to have all the tools as an NHL goalie night in and night out. Either his play deteriorated quite a bit since that signing, or the Pens GM made a bad decision on that contract. I wouldn't have imagined Jarry getting a starters contract, but hey the Pens deserve this for screwing over Fleury for Mr. Glove Side High.

Jarry on waivers is solely for the purpose of sending him down to the AHL. Ain't nobody going to claim that albatross of a contract for such subpar performance. It's beyond a 'slump'...he's been borderline awful for most of the past two seasons. Maybe they can send down the rest of the defensive corp, too.
Problem with bringing up Blomqvist is he'll be shellacked, and that's not good for a rookie's confidence or development.
