Even a marquee player like Sidney Crosby and the return of Erik Karlsson to San Jose couldn't get the fans to come out...the arena was only roughly half full despite the announced crowd of 11,000+. Whole lotta no-shows.

Although I'll probably tune in here and there, I honestly have just about zero interest in this upcoming Four Nations tournament. Why insert a two week break in the middle of the season, right when the playoff push is really heating up for most teams? And what if one of the superstars gets injured, and jeopardizes their team's chances in the playoffs? Do this kind of thing in September, before or during training camp.

The Four Nations Tourney was negotiated by the players union in the last contract negotiation. Many of our current "superstars" have never represented their country due to various things like plague, not playing at the Olympics. The players wanted this.

Well, it looks like Sid will be playing for Canada after all. Injured in a game last week, and missed the Pens' two weekend games, but feels he can give it a go for this tournament.

I'm just hoping the opportunity to play with MacKinnon won't inspire him to seek a trade to Colorado! :nailbiting:
