NHL Season 2024-25

Very nice win in Game #1 for the Jets last night. The Blues are not going to be an easy 1 vs. 8 matchup with the way they've been playing lately. But I think it's good for a top seed to be challenged early in the playoffs instead of having an easy sweep of a pushover team in the first round. Assuming the Jets can advance, a tough first round series will prepare them for harder challenges in the next rounds.

That is one game to forget .....

Sens in 6

I appreciate the free digital airwaves broadcasting of the CBC for that series , surround sound and all ......
We're far from putting steel wool at the end of antenna to have a better image !

Props to the Jets and Avs for their opening wins. Jets continue to play like they did in the third period then there's a good chance the Cup may be coming to Manitoba!

Rangers and Ducks fire Laviolette and Cronin, respectively. Which retreads will be behind those benches next? Babcock? Therrien? Julien? Or maybe Tortorella!

Someone want to take a swing at explaining to me why anyone would hire Torterella?

LOL! Us hockey fans have been saying that for years, yet he still ends up on the payroll at one club or another. He actually is good for these teams for about a year and a half, getting improvement, before everyone gets tired of his crap and decides to mutiny. His nickname should be 'Two-year Torts'.

Saturday the Avs skated like they meant business. Not like the most of the last 6 regular season games. I was hoping they were cruising at the end because it really didn't matter. If they keep playing like Saturday night they'll be fine.
