NHL Season 2024-25

No doubt. A few years ago the Yotes were picked to be dead last (again), but they played above expectations and were actually a lot of fun to watch. Sometimes a team full of hungry young kids proving themselves is entertaining hockey.
Kind of a sad day for Sharks fans. Logan Couture calls it quits due to lingering groin injury. Not surprising, but it always sucks to see solid dudes force out of the game that way. My guess is Toffoli will become captain (until Celebrini gets the C). I hope Couture is able to stay with the organization in some capacity.
Since my team will be playing golf during the playoffs, I'll have to throw my support behind one of my 'other' teams. Those would be Winnipeg, Florida, and Colorado. All three have about the same potential chances of winning the Cup, but of those three, I'm pulling for the Jets first, since the other two have won the Cup in recent memory.
Knowing my luck, all three will be bounced in the first round.
The battle of Ontario will start soon!

Thought it was pretty classy of Gus to suggest Flower go in for the OT last night. Got win 575 and record breaking OT win 71. A nice night for the future Hall of Famer. Too bad the Wild can't give him a cup to end his career.

Well it's official: Life in a third-world country like Canada SUCKS. Cannot watch the NHL Playoff Games on the CBC website because they didin't want to shell out for the streaming broadcast rights. All that Federal tax money I pay every year, WASTED because CBC would rather spray us with endless liberal propaganda than broadcast the traditional "Hockey Night In Canada" feed that dates back to my grandfather's era. Apocalypse Now?
