It's only immoral if you stole it. Otherwise who gives a rat's ass? Nobody's forcing anyone to buy it if they object to the serial number missing.

Definitely a Squier VM jazz with a water slide decal. Tuners and nut are definitely Squier.

Same Tuners on a MIM bass and my American Special too

No luck needed from me, I'm not buying or selling the bass

I do have a Squier here with a missing serial number. I don't think anyone is going to imprison me over it and I don't think it was immoral in any way. There are lots of reasons for a serial number to be removed. In my case, because I'm refinishing the whole guitar.

A Fender replacement neck doesn't have a serial number so this bass probably has one.

That's not a Fender neck though. It's a Squier neck.

Sorry, not you. I meant to the one who removed the serial number. To me that seems immoral. Maybe dishonest is a better word here. At least if it isn't disclosed up front when selling anyways. My .02.
