Nick Oliveri's bass OD/distortion?

All three records with Oliveri are awesome. After that, not too much.

Nick only played on "Rated R" and "Songs For the Deaf", but he did play on Kyuss' "Wretch" and "Blues for the Red Sun" albums with Josh Homme. On the self-titled QOTSA album, Josh played most of the bass (credited with a pseudonym), with Chris Goss playing on a couple of tracks.

I must agree though, however much Nick's departure did or didn't have to do with the change in the QOTSA's sound, the last 2 albums have definitely been lacking in something IMO.

you're 100% correct I forgot Josh did most of the bass on ST
