I don't want you to say anything that could get you in trouble, but now that it's been a couple months and the first leg of the tour is over, what are the number one best and worst aspects of being in NIN? And for the worst, I'm talking about other than having to dodge flying mic stand bases or being away from your wife and daughter ;)

Worst: the unavoidable fact of missing my Beck gig from time to time, even though I ADORE my current gig and am deeply grateful for it. But no one can blame me; when you play with someone for over eleven years (even just as a sideman), it feels like a part of you that you are taking away, to a small degree. So if that's the worst, I basically have it REALLY good. :)

Best: Playing the "electronic" and "Ghosts" sections of the set. Incredible!

Ya, I saw a bootleg vid of you guys doing a Ghosts piece right before Piggy and it was pretty awesome, poor home video cam sound and grainy pic quality notwithstanding. Haven't heard the Ghosts album yet but it sounds like a cool idea.

I'd also be willing to bet that Beck feels the same way. I always thought of you as more than a sideman with him, fwiw. Beck may be a solo act but he owes a lot to you for shaping his live act and providing some of his best moments on CD. Glad you guys are still friends, though. Hopefully you can do some stuff together in the future.
