NKD - New Knob Day

After much consideration and internal debate, I finally pulled the trigger and switched the knobs on my P bass from flat-tops to domes.

I know the rules: no pic, no knobs. Here ya go:

(Pardon the dust, we just had the vents cleaned yesterday and I still have to vacuum and wipe things down.)

Actually, Jaco always replaced the standard black plastic Jazz numbered knobs with the knurled chrome pbass knobs.

Most experts agree, it was those knobs that are the secret key to his tone and playing technique.

agreed!

i like the domed/knurled knobs, and in my quest to play the lightest weight FSOs i can, i've invested in resin knobs of that style --- all of my axes sport them --- they weigh nothing!
