I always play with a soft attack through the bridges I mostly don't know.
The caveat is that most pub/ partygoers don't know the bridge either...

I’ve got three to do this Saturday. Mostly easy. One is jazzy so there’s that. We’re doing the snoopy song…mostly keys. We also do Halloween themed songs.

We did a big Christmas show last year (doing the same again this year on the 23rd) and learned some of Christmas songs for it. Only about 6 of them, and at one point the singer said, "do you want to hear some Christmas music???"...thinking we would be an enthusiastic "yes" but it was a unanimous "hell no" lol. We were like...ok....well, here are 6 of them then lol

I really liked playing some of them, the bassline in Feliz Navidad is alot of fun.

Ahhhhh yes....learning a bunch of songs that you will likely only play one gig per year. Just did that for a Halloween gig. The BL pulled them from the sets immediately after, even though they technically AREN'T Halloween specific. <sigh>

Thanks, we will have fun, I enjoy Christmas songs. Also, just don’t know them very well. Only hear them one time a year, unlike the oldies we currently we play, I’ve been hearing them for 40 years! Every day!
