no 8 ohm spec on the new peavey IPRs

It won't be half ... more like 60-65%. An amp won't have a problem with a higher impedance, what is significant is the lowest impedance it's designed to handle, which is why you don't usually power ratings for 16 ohms in the ads ... manufacturers only want to post BIG numbers. Carvin likes to post its 2 ohm figures. Behringer likes to post .000000001 ohm figures (even tho the amp would fry) :D
