South Jersey, USA..
We have a big gig in April.. meanwhile I have to trudge to practice every Monday night in the snow and cold rain. I don't line in sunny California, like some people here, and you know who you are. ;) It's a little scary getting there, dark parking lot leading to an alley but then to greatness.. I get to see my favorite girl. videos attached.

Well I live where the folks from California wished they lived... But I also don't have the luxury of a separate practice space. Everyone just crams into a small bedroom at my place...

Wow, I could take the exact same picture. The color scheme is exactly like the small front bedroom where I stuff my bandmates. Couple of minor differences - You have nice PA mounts, I have horizontal blinds and dog poop stains on the carpet.

Yeah, the PA mounts are my latest purchase, and were critical to fitting those honkin PA speakers in there. No way they would fit on stands...

For the sake of your neighbors....Please don't tell me that you live in a condo...:D;)

Ha! That would be a hoot. But no, it is a house.

View attachment 2905805 I just retired from my gigging band, but I’ve been jamming with my buddies in this space....pretty cool retro vibe...was the music room of one my buddy’s father who was a pro jazz musician, music teacher, WWII vet and fighter pilot during the cold war. Lots of mojo in that room. And a vintage Rhodes!
I usually doze off while playing .. I guess it's my age ;)

Hi guys,

Please don't hate me because I've got gigs. But I think it's cool that we all share a little about where we rehearse. First, when I'm practicing at home I look something like this. I have my bass and my headphones plugged into the computer, playing along while I learn tunes.

About once a month the ANB has a paid rehearsal at The Ranch so the owner can sing with the band.

This is the green room at The Ranch. When we're not eating or goofing off we'll sometimes have vocal rehearsals before the show or between sets. It's fairly quiet in here so we can practice with an acoustic guitar.

When I rehearse with the worship team at church we just use the stage and the church PA. There are normally no floor wedges on stage as we all use IEMs. This picture is from Christmas time when there was also a choir on stage. The floor monitors were for the choir.

When True Willie rehearses it's usually at a place in Fullerton, The Riff Haus, where we use the "big" room.

This is the bass rig in that place. I always ask if they can have a bigger one for me next time.

Most of us on stage kind of, sort of, ready to rehearse.

Arnie has a nice home studio and rehearsal space, a converted garage that he built himself.

Every once in a while the KRB would rehearse at Kelly's place in the space that Jack built. But now the new guy, Alex, has been rehearsing there.

I've had a few others in friends' living rooms and other rental spaces but you get the idea. I'm lucky that I have only a few unpaid rehearsals a year (except for church) either for an important show or to learn a few special tunes. Most of the time we'll do our homework, shed at home, then put the new tune together at sound check. I'm spoiled.

What's next? Food at rehearsal? Chicks at rehearsal? :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Yes, it's cool seeing the behind the scenes stuff.

You know we could NEVER hate you because of your gigs. Heck, we LOVE seeing them.

However, we may harbor different feelings when it comes to your PAID rehearsals.
